JUCO Top 25: April 26

After what was a wild week for most of the teams inside the top 5, Central Florida reclaims the top spot for what is their fifth week as the nation’s No. 1 JUCO squad. Johnson County also jumps up from No. 5 to No. 2 after a strong 4-0 week, continuing to cement themselves as part of that upper echelon group. Joining the two aforementioned squads at the top is a hot Florence-Darlington team who comes in at No. 3, surpassing their previous high water mark of No. 4 nationally.

Central Arizona and Walters State dropped marginally after disappointing weeks as both dropped a pair of games. They slot in to the 5 and 6 spots respectively. The division 2 powerhouses, LSU-Eunice, Pearl River, and Heartland all kept motoring along and they all held tight to their positions from last week. South Mountain moves up a spot to No. 9 after another clean sheet week. Rounding out our top 10 is a Wabash Valley team that just continues to climb as they are currently riding a 3+ week stretch of nothing but Warrior victories, reaching well beyond their pre-season ranking (18).

Outside the top ten there was a bit less craziness this week. We moved Crowder up fairly aggressively after they’ve started to play how we thought their talented roster was capable dating back to the preseason. Weatherford jumps up modestly after a 4-0 week as well as Palomar who is starting to really separate itself as the team in SoCal to contend with. The Delgado Dolphins of Louisiana make their season debut to the top 25 list with their 39-8 overall and 14-0 conference record. Welcome back Connors State,
