Ryan Ball, INF, Central Arizona (Sophomore)

The infield transfer from CSUN showcased a strong hit tool and advanced approach throughout his at-bats. Ball utilizes a crouched setup on the left-hand side of the plate with his feet shoulder width apart. His lean, compact body remains quiet throughout a small leg kick load. The simplicity of the load leads to above-average bat-to-ball skills that makes Ball tough with two strikes. Quick bat speed and natural loft within a slight uppercut bat path produces quality contact often. He stays through the middle of the field well. A patient approach and advanced strike zone awareness make Ball an extremely tough out. He will wait for a pitch he can drive and will foul off two-strike offers when needed. The Texas Tech commit will be a crucial part of the Vaqs order.
