WWBA Freshman World Scout Notes: Day 1

We got to see first baseman Dylan Minnatee (2026, Elk Grove, Calif.) throughout the summer circuit as well as at the 13u National Showcase, and though we’re only a couple months removed from those looks, the young NorCal product is already looking stronger physically and it showed Friday night in his left-handed swing. Looking bigger than his listed 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame, Minnatee had himself a day at the plate for Alpha Gold as he helped lead the offense to a 14-run outburst, driving in 4 with a pair of extra base hits while scoring a pair of his own. He wasted little time in making his presence felt as he took an elevated fastball up and over the head of the center fielder in the bottom of the first, working well on a linear path
