Upperclass Nationals Scout Notes: Day 1

Pitching dominated early action of the 2021 WWBA Fall Upperclass Nationals at the Lawnwood Baseball Complex in Ft. Pierce, FL as many hurlers proved almost unhittable.

Surge National Super Chargers LHP, Dylan Larsen (2024, Harriman, NY) is a promising pitcher with a bulldog mentality. Using a compact delivery and a quick arm stroke, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound southpaw pounds the zone with three plus pitches that are sound now and will certainly improve as he matures and gains experience. He shows consistently impressive arm action and an operation that allows his solid lower half to work pitches to both sides of the plate with consistency. His 79-81 mph fastball plays up and shows routine arm side run and sink. His curveball sat in the 63-64 mph range and shows plus 12-to-6 shape, tight spin, and depth late.
