Sophomore World Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Knights Knation exploded for 11 runs of offense in their first playoff victory in the morning over at the 5-plex and two responsible parties were John Pearson (2024, West Monroe, La.) and Sam Erickson (2024, Flower Mound, Texas), both of whom have been in the thick of the offense all weekend.



Pearson is a super physical right-handed hitter at a listed 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and certainly looks the part of a big power hitter in the box. The Louisiana State commit brought in four runs on two singles, both of which were hit very hard, and moving forward it looks like the right-handed impact and power will be the calling cards to his profile. Pearson starts out relaxed in the box before closing his stance and taking aggressive, intentful swings that look to do damage. It’s a simple trigger into the swing and though there is some swing and miss inherent to the profile, when he connects it comes off the barrel really well.
