Top 10 Prospects

1. Cole McConnell, OF, Acadiana (Louisiana Tech/RS SO in 2022)
McConnell put himself on scout’s radars with a strong showing in the TCL in 2020 and then broke out this spring for the Bulldogs. He slashed .347/.399/.503 with 4 home runs in 167 at-bats and was a key cog in the middle of their lineup in Regionals. He was also named to the Conference USA’s All-Freshman team. He has noticeable easy juice from the left side and has a solid feel for the barrel already. He’s also very capable in the outfield with an above-average throwing arm and solid athleticism. This summer, he hit over .330 with a .929 OPS for the Cane Cutters.
