The Saugerties Stallions won this year’s Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, beating perennial power Amsterdam in the championship series by way of a two-game sweep. The Stallions used a bevy of solid pitchers and timely hitting throughout the playoffs to secure its first-ever PGCBL title. The league remains a hotbed for talent not just from players who call the Northeast home, but all across the country.



The league was revamped for the 2021 season after the canceled 2020 season. There are a number of new teams, with the league expanding to 16 franchises for 2021 – the Auburn Doubledays and Batavia Muckdogs joined after recently being removed as a minor league affiliates, and the Niagara Power moved over from the New York Collegiate Baseball League after winning a championship there in 2019. Back too were the Jamestown Tarp Skunks (formerly the Jammers), who were inactive for the 2019 season.
