Cayden Gaskin (2022, Loganville, Ga.) is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder from Parkview High School near his hometown. A senior in the fall, Gaskin had his hit tool working all weekend as he would hit .368 and take home 18u MVP honors. While suiting up for his club, Ninth Inning Royals 17u Bartlewki, Gaskin had his best game of the tournament in the semifinals as he fueled their one run victory turning in a 3-for-4 day with two runs scored a double, and a home run. At the plate, Cayden deploys a square stance and a double toe-tap trigger which leads into a deep backside load before he shoots his hands and bat head through the hitting zone with hand-eye and bat speed. Gaskin’s tools translate all over the field as he moves well on the bases with plus speed, and has clean defensive actions up the middle, he pairs with a strong, accurate arm with ability to make all throws across. A fun athlete to watch compete, Cayden ranks inside the top-400 second basemen in the class, making him one to watch next spring during his senior year.

Bryce Alewine (2023, Sharpsburg, Ga.) is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound strong and athletic, highly-ranked third baseman and right-handed pitcher from East Coweta High School in his hometown. A junior in the fall, Alewine would earn MV-Pitcher honors this weekend due to his excellent performance for his club, Home Plate Chili Dogs 16u Argila/Dyal in their quarterfinal bout Saturday afternoon at East Cobb. Earning the start for his club, Alewine was dominant as he turned in a five-inning, run-rule shortened perfect game. On the mound, Alewine, uses a full windup from the first base side of the rubber. He showcases a steady tempo through release which he keeps consistent from a high three-quarter slot. To navigate his opponent's lineup, Bryce would mix his repertoire of a fastball with run and life in the mid-80s, high of 86 mph, and a curveball in the mid- to high-70s, with 11-5 shape and developing depth which missed a lot of bats throughout his outing. Bryce would showcase good control of his mix all game long filling the zone nearly three-quarters of the time, while working ahead of all but one of the fifteen hitters he faced, a ridiculous 93%. A highly-ranked third baseman in the class, Alewine has turned in impressive performances all year at Perfect Game events as he finishes the summer with a 2-0 record and 20 punchouts over 17 2/3 innings of work while also hitting .316 over 33 games at the plate with 30 RBI.
