Northeast Supreme 16U Black is on a heck of a run at the Perfect Game World Series in Sanford, starting out with four straight wins. Ryan Sprock (2022, Morristown, N.J.) is an interesting two-way prospect and already ran his heater up to 91 mph earlier in the tournament. On Monday he did it with the stick as he barreled two hits, including a double. The right-handed hitter gets on plane and uses a linear approach to lace line drives to the middle of the field. The Elon commit impacts the game in a number of ways and has stood out during pool play. NE Supreme starter in game one of the doubleheader was Xavier commit Griffin Seibel (2023, Glen Ridge, N.J.). He threw a fantastically pitched complete game, giving up only four hits while also striking out four. The fastball sat in the mid-80s and he worked the pitch around the zone, locating mostly east-west and very effectively. The righty lands his curveball and it should be a good pitch as he continues to build on the hand speed. He had no issue pitching backwards when necessary and did a good job of splitting the even counts to keep hitters off balance. The real takeaway was the competitiveness he showed, especially in stressful spots.
