15u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

The 1 PM game at Blessed Trinity featured a pretty good pitching matchup for undefeated teams in Anderson Nance (2024, Eden, N.C.) of 5 Star Carolina and Caiden Barcia (2024, Livingston, La.) of the Nola Monsters.





Nance is a twitchy and athletic pitcher who ran his fastball up to 89 mph on the bump and held his 86-88 mph range for the majority of the outing. The right-hander didn’t have pure strikeout stuff but still showed three pitches for strikes along with the athleticism and fluidity to project out further. The control of the fastball was good as he could pepper the strike zone nicely and he landed a curveball in the low-70s for strikes. The changeup was in the upper-70s with fading life and where Nance struggled was putting hitters away with two strikes. Still, it’s easy to see the arsenal, athleticism, and arm speed and project long term on the profile.
