Getting the start for Knights Baseball Platinum was southpaw Miller Green (2023, Nashville, Tenn.) who is a top-100 player in the 2023 rankings. Green is one of the top two-way prospects in the class at a listed 6-foot-5, 205 pounds and a ton of room on the frame to add strength. He has an easy, low effort delivery and arm action and did a nice job at avoiding barrels in this playoff start as he was dealt the tough luck loss after having to go to extra innings. He works downhill with the fastball that lives in the mid-80s, peaking at 88 mph, and uses his entire repertoire really well. The changeup is a really effective pitch for the Georgia Tech commit as he sells the pitch with good arm speed and the late fading action avoids barrels. The breaker is a nice pitch to land for strikes with sweeping shape but the fastball-changeup combination is Green’s bread and butter and he used it to get a number of easy outs.
