15u World Series Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2

Theodore Gillen (2024, Austin, Texas) is undoubtedly one of the most talented players to have attended the world series this week, but it’s just impressive to watch the impact he can have in a number of facets. There’s legitimate power upside given the swing and physical profile, but his ability to widen with two strikes and get the ball in play all week was impactful. He’s a good runner at this age and he’s able to beat stuff out on the ground while wreaking havoc at times on the bases. Defensively he patrols the infield very well and the comfort in which he plays the position is well advanced for someone with only a year of high school ball under his belt.
Kayson Cunningham (2025, San Antonio, Texas) had a good week at the plate playing up an age division racking up 10 hits and scoring eight times out of the two-hole for semifinalist Lonestar. He’s been a talented player for the last year-plus and his handle for the game has shown well above his age to this point. He handles the barrel well, being on it more times than he’s not with quickness to hands paired with length through the zone. He’s not the most physical player but he does impact the ball well and his handle of the middle infield is strong as well.
