17u Mid-Atlantic World Series Scout Notes: Days 1-3





Fresh off a trip to Tampa for the PG National Showcase, Hayden Miller (2022, Sandy Hook, Conn.) slid right into the three-hole for a Clubhouse Scout squad that has been one of the best hitting teams of the tournament. Showing why he earned himself an invite to PG National, Miller went 1-for-2 Sunday with two balls that were rockets off the bat. Smoking a single to left field, Miller turned on a middle-middle fastball, dropping a barrel on the ball and surely not missing it. Standing up right remaining quiet until initiating a slight leg lift trigger, Miller’s bat explodes through the zone. Naturally strong, Miller is able to lift the ball easily to all fields, showing power to all fields with a deep fly ball to right during his first at-bat. The future College of Charleston Cougar projects to be a top-of-the-order bat that will hit for both power and average.
