Big-time SEC matchups were what defined most of the intense action on this weekend, with some major upsets included, as well as clarity with the NCAA on Friday announcing 20 potential Regional host sites. No. 1 Arkansas remains No. 1 after duking it out with Tennessee, taking two-of-three games that were all decided by one run. There’s no doubting Arkansas’ resume as the best in the country, but this weekend also showed that Tennessee is a potential Omaha team and they don’t fall too far down to No. 6. Texas climbs to No. 2 following two teams losing series ahead of them in Vanderbilt at No. 3 and Mississippi State at No. 4. The Commodores lost to Ole Miss, who climbs to No. 15, in a back-and-forth stunner of a series, and the Bulldogs fell to Missouri.

Notre Dame comes in at No. 5 as they locked up their side of the ACC following Louisville getting swept by North Carolina State. Florida and Texas Tech hold steady at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively, after taking care of their conference business over the weekend, and Florida State comes in at No. 9 after defeating Clemson. East Carolina rounds out the top-10 at No. 10 as they took three-of-four from a solid Cincinnati club and continue to be the standard in the American. There are two new teams this week: No. 19 Gonzaga and No. 24 Arizona State. The Zags are one of the best small conference schools in the country and they finally got back on the field this weekend and swept their opponent. Arizona State has been surging as of late and they were able to take two-of-three from a solid Oregon State club this weekend.
