The Perfect Game collegiate rankings roll on as, after a hectic week, there is a new No. 1 team after the Vanderbilt Commodores lost their first SEC series since 2019. The Arkansas Razorbacks reclaim the No. 1 spot they briefly held earlier in the year after a hard-fought victory over rival Ole Miss. Arkansas won games one and three, as game three was an instant classic that featured an 11-0 comeback, a football final score, and a 14-14 tie game in the eighth inning. Texas follows Arkansas at No. 2 following a sweep of Kansas State, Tennessee at No. 3 after defeating Florida, Louisville at No. 4 after downing Florida State, and East Carolina at No. 5 following their second consecutive four-game conference sweep.

Mississippi State jumps to No. 6 after sweeping Kentucky and Vanderbilt lands at No. 7 following the home series loss to Georgia. The Commodores are absolutely a title contender but still face question marks as their offense was effectively held in check by a team yet to win an SEC series in 2021. Kumar Rocker was shockingly human on Friday night, but they’ll still be led by one of the deeper pitching staffs in the nation heading forward. Texas Tech jumps to No. 8 following their tough series win over TCU as the Red Raiders have a burgeoning superstar in Jace Jung. South Carolina and Ole Miss round out the rest of the top-10 at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.

Other climbers include Notre Dame, who jumps to No. 11 after downing Georgia Tech in a top-15 matchup, while Oregon at No. 15 also notched a big series victory over Oregon State. Stanford climbs to No. 17 after defeating UCLA in two of three games to prove that they are legitimate Pac-12 contenders heading into the second half of the season. New additions to the Top 25 are Oklahoma State at No. 18, Virginia Tech at No. 20, and Nebraska at No. 25. The Cowboys look to break up that trio of Texas, Texas Tech, and TCU at the top of the Big 12 while Virginia Tech currently leads a surprising ACC Coastal division. Nebraska is currently tops in the Big 10 as that conference is cluttered with Indiana and Michigan hanging on in the Top 25 despite scuffling in recent weeks. Be sure to continue to keep posted to the College Player Report Database as we’ve already crossed 250 live player reports this season.
