Blade Tidwell, RHP, Tennessee

Tennessee has turned to freshman Blade Tidwell as their No. 3 starter on the weekends and they've received quality innings out of the right-hander with a 4-1 record and a team record of 6-1 in his seven starts, while Tidwell has taken the ball into the sixth inning or later in each of his last four starts.

The frame and body are ideal for a starter at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds and he could potentially add even more to the frame moving forward. The fastball velocity is already average to solid-average for a starter sitting 92-95 mph in his 5 1/3 innings on Sunday against Alabama, but he'll need to find some movement or refine his command moving forward to miss more barrels.

With the fastball getting hit, he made a nice adjustment to stick mostly with the slider and changeup from the fourth inning on, allowing two runs after a three-run first inning. He does a nice job adding and subtracting from the slider, giving it different looks and shape at times while mostly throwing it at 82-83 mph and breaking it off the plate glove side for swings and misses. The changeup came into play mostly against left-handed bats on the arm side of the plate in the low- to mid-80s.

It's still early in his college career with another year before he is draft eligible again, but the fastball-slider combo will be something to keep an eye on and he continues to refine the overall arsenal.
