PG HS Showdown Scout Notes: Day 1

Tyler Kennedy (2021, Statesboro, Ga.) got things started in loud fashion for Georgia Premier Academy in the opener on the Academies side of the PG Showdown. Kennedy is a Pittsburgh commit and has a fantastic 6-foot-4, 215-pound frame. A right-handed pitcher, he sat in the low-90s peaking at 93 and threw enough strikes to strike out the side in a clean frame. He flashed a curveball at 76 and the two-pitch mix will be monitored all spring in longer outings.

Erian Rodriguez (2021 Statesboro, GA) struck out the side during his inning of work, mostly 92-93 and grabbed a 94. A bit sporadic with the breaking ball but it flashed when out front and located down. A handful of FBs and SLs here. #PGShowdown #NWFLStateCommit @PG_Georgia pic.twitter.com/RmA8Mbmrxs
