Michael Mullinax, OF, Class of 2024
Commitment: Georgia

Though it’s early in the process of identifying talent in the 2024 class, Mullinax and his abilities have continued to stand out in a big way, already establishing himself as one of the better bats in the class along with possessing a highly-intriguing, well-rounded skill set. Unlike a majority of young switch-hitters who are clearly more refined from one side of the plate, Mullinax shows comfort and balance from either side of the plate, exhibiting excellent hand-eye coordination and bat-to-ball skills. And despite playing up an age group all of last spring/summer, Mullinax put up impressive offensive numbers from the leadoff spot in the lineup for the East Cobb Astros. His swing is as loose as it is whippy and the strength continues to develop, though his other tools are equally as impressive as he already runs a 6.50 in the 60-yard and shows a 90 mph arm from the outfield.

Outlook for the Class: The Bulldogs have continued to put an emphasis on recruiting young talent in-state and there’s no mistaking that notion with the start of their ’24 class. Mullinax, who checks in at No. 13 nationally, joins fellow Select Festival teammate Jaxon Walker as well as catcher Ariston Veasey and two-way Jax Phillips, all of whom are top-75 prospects, to give Head Coach Scott Strickland and his staff an excellent foundation to build off of. ‘Athletic’ is a good adjective that covers the quartet of talent as Mullinax and Walker possess excellent speed in the outfield, Veasey is a refined receiver behind the plate, and Phillips shows strength in his swing as well as a fastball that works into the mid/upper-80s.

Antonio Anderson, SS, Class of 2023
Commitment: Georgia Tech
