Class of 2023 High School Player Rankings

With no official rankings for the class of 2023 recruiting classes like we've recently seen within the 2021 and 2022 class features, we look at 5 classes who already stand out among the rest. Whether it's the high end players they already have committed or the depth these schools have already accumulated, one thing is for certain and it's that schools across the country will continue to load up with talent from now until National Signing Day in 2022.

Vanderbilt
Head Coach: Tim Corbin | Recruiting Coordinator: Mike Baxter

Top 5 Recruits:

Rk. Name POS. HT WT B-T High School Hometown ST
4 Ethan Robinson RHP 6-4 190 R-R Donelson Christian Academy Antioch TN
7 Maxwell Clark OF 6-0 185 L-L Franklin Community Franklin IN
10 Braden Holcomb SS 6-4 215 R-R Foundation Academy Ocoee FL
54 Conner Bennett C 5-9 160 R-R Oak Ridge Spring TX
83 Duke Ekstrom RHP 6-2 165 R-R Point Loma San Diego CA

It is once again no surprise that the Commodores hold one of the most talented recruiting classes, even at the prep sophomore level, given their ability year after year to lock up players from virtually every part of the country. With prospects stemming from eight different states already in this class, the trend holds true with this group and helps in building one of the deeper groups to date with ten prospects already having announced their commitment. Headlined by in-state right-hander Ethan Robinson and talented bats Maxwell Clark and Braden Holcomb, Vanderbilt has the only class with multiple prospects inside the Top 10 of the latest player rankings update. At present, the class consists of more offensive weapons than arms, but some of the biggest upside in the group rests on the mound with guys like top-ranked right-hander Ethan Robinson, noted performer Duke Ekstrom, projectable left-hander Alexander Clemmey and physical California native Brennan Seiber. While they already have ten players that currently rank within the Top 500 nationally, the staff is far from done on the trail and they’ve proven to have no problem getting top of the line players late in the process as well.
