Reggie Sharpe, ss, Class of 2024
Commitment: Michigan

Sharpe was a fixture on the summer circuit with Little Caesars, playing alongside now fellow Michigan commit Jarren Purify to form an advanced left side of the infield. While he isn’t overly physical at 5-foot-6, 130 pounds, Sharpe’s skills stand out on both sides of the ball already and he projects well moving forward. He’s listed as a switch-hitter and while his lefthanded swing is coming along, he takes a majority of his reps from the right side where he stays short and direct to the ball with a natural handle for the barrel, showing the ability to work to all fields with comfort. Defensively he projects to stay up the middle with light footwork and fluidity to his actions, showing an advanced internal clock and body control to make a difficult play look routine.

Outlook for the Class: Sharpe comes as the first commitment in the 2024 class for Michigan as they stay close to home and pull another talent off the Little Caesars club though given their success on the trail over the last couple of seasons, you can expect this class to blossom sooner rather than later. He checks in at No. 109 in the initial class of 2024 rankings after hitting .483 on the summer over 60 at-bats, truly exhibiting his bat-to-ball skills.
