2021 Top Prospects

Jaron Ward  OF - 2021 - North Dinwiddie, VA
Virginia Tech

McNeil-Ward has tremendous athleticism, gliding to the ball in the outfield with ease and accurately throwing 86 to the bases. He has great bat speed and power and running a 6.61 sixty.

Moses Brown V  RHP - 2021 - Newport News, VA
North Carolina at Pembroke

Brown V is a two-way player with great potential om yhe mound with a 90 mph fastball with late life. On the infield you can see his athleticism as he ranges to the ball with ease and throws 87 across to diamond. He also ran a 6.64 in the sixty.

Kade Abrisz  C - 2021 - Newport News, VA
Louisburg College

Abrisz showed off from the mound and behind the plate. Pitching two innings, striking out two, and topping 85 mph. He also had a pop time of 1.92 with soft hands.

Chris Betler  SS - 2021 - Ellicott City, MD
York College (Pennsylvania)

Betler ran a 6.82 sixty and showed good athleticism in the infield. He has a good feel with the glove and great quickness in getting to the ball. The right-handed hitter showed great bat speed during batting practice.


2022 Top Prospects

Derrell Fletcher  RHP - 2022 - Richmond, VA
VMI

Fletcher is a very projectable right-handed pitcher. He has a great arm action struck out two in two innings and only gave up one hit. With great depth on his slider, he topped 86 mph. The Newport News, Va native also threw out a couple of runners trying to steal from behind the dish.

William Burgess  LHP - 2022 - Ashton, MD
High Point

Burgess has a great feel of the strike zone and commanded his fastball to the inside and outside corners while also mixing up his pitches. The tall left-handed hitter is a two way player with great bat control and a sharp eye at the plate.

Derrick Shields  IF - 2022 - Pittsburgh, PA
Uncommitted

Shields has some advanced pitching ability that allowed him to strike out the side with three quality pitches and moving the fastball to both the corners. The right-hand pitcher has a really good change up with fastball arm speed and great tempo.


2023 Top Prospects

Zach Danielczyk  RHP - 2023 - Oakton, VA
Tampa

Danielczyk has two-way player written all over him. The tall right-handed pitcher topped 87 with his power arm and has some feel of the zone. Throwing 85 during drills, the Virginia native has good quickness in the outfield and showcases accuracy to the base.

Trace Phillips  SS - 2023 - Spring Hill, TN
Middle Tennessee State

Phillips was virtually unhittable in three innings of work as he filled up the zone consistently during his outing. The right-handed pitcher has a smooth and easy arm action with all the pitches coming out from the same slot.

John Simmons  SS - 2023 - Forest, VA
Liberty University

Simmons was very impressive at the plate with a good eye and great hitting tools. The tall left-handed hitter has a smooth and easy swing that generates good power, which enabled him to crush line drives all weekend.


2024 Top Prospects

Jay Slater  C - 2024 - Downingtown, PA
Duke

Slater was perfect at the plate this showcase going 7-7 with really loud contact. The right-handed hitting catcher popped a1.98, he has great hitting tools, a really good power stroke, and a great eye at the plate. He does not miss his pitch.

Dominick Cafferillo  C - 2024 - Charlottesville, VA
Georgetown

Caferillo is a very strong and physical young man who had a very solid weekend. The Virginia native drove the bat through the ball with quick hands and good barrel control. The developing catcher has soft hands and a good feel behind the dish.


2025 Top Prospects

Sammy Diaz  SS - 2025 - New Castle, DE
Uncommitted

Diaz has very smooth and easy mechanics in the infield and ranges to the ball with ease. He has a very solid glove and is on point with his throws. The right-handed hitter has a very solid swing, working the ball up the middle with a quick bat and a fluid stroke. As he develops power with physical maturity, he is a player to keep a close watch on.

TJ Thomas  1B - 2025 - Parkersburg, WV

Thomas had a great weekend at the plate showcasing his big hitting tools and speed on the bases by collecting two triples in one game. The right-handed hitter found a way to barrel the ball and already uses the whole field, with power from line to line.
