2021 Top Prospects

Hunter Dobbins  C - 2021 - Indpls, IN
Ball State

The Ball State commit had a really impressive weekend, posting a 1.84 pop time with big arm strength in the infield as well. The athletic backstop ran a 6.83 sixty and his all fields juice and strong hands stand out at the plate.

Khal Stephen  RHP - 2021 - Williamsport, IN
Purdue

Stephen showcased some of the louder tools in the showcase, throwing strikes with a quality four-pitch mix on the mound and putting on an impressive display of power in batting practice. The Purdue commit swings with intent to drive the baseball and gets the most out of the 6-foot-4 frame.

Aiden McGee  OF - 2021 - West Des Moines, IA
Minnesota State

The uncommitted right-hander took a loud BP on Saturday, but really stood out on the mound Sunday. McGee sat 85-88mph (T90) with a good fastball and showed some good feel for a pair of secondary offerings (CH,CB) as well.

Gabe Swansen  SS - 2021 - Johnston, IA
Nebraska

The Nebraska commit does a lot of really impressive things on the baseball field, executing a mature approach at the plate and making plenty of loud contact. The tools are solid with speed and athleticism that plays at third base and strength that translates well offensively.

Charles Richmond  1B - 2021 - Indianapolis, IN
Western Illinois

Richmond is a good two-way prospect, showcasing a good three-pitch mix on the mound and big-time power from the left side. Richmond has a simple swing and creates plenty of loud contact with the slightly elevated path.

Brandon Ford  MIF - 2021 - Oak Park, MI
Uncommitted

The uncommitted shortstop does a lot of things well on the diamond, showcasing some feel for the barrel and playing through the ball well defensively with sound actions. Ford has some versatility defensively with present arm strength (87mph) across the diamond.

Omar Boyd  SS - 2021 - Southfield, MI
Prairie View A&M

The uncommitted outfielder was a standout in Marion, running a 6.75 sixty-yard dash and posting an 84mph exit velocity. Boyd has good bat speed at the plate and flashes some power to the pull-side that will improve with added strength.

Tyler Klee  3B - 2021 - Kansas City, MO
Missouri University of Science and Technology

Klee has a big bat and showcased plenty of present power both in batting practice and game action. The athletic third baseman runs well for his size and could project in the corner-outfield as well.


2022 Top Prospects

Brandon Vlcko  C - 2022 - Fairfax, IA
South Dakota State

Vlcko was one of the more exciting 2022 prospects at the showcase, posting a 1.91 pop time and presenting a physical tool set that projects really well. Vlcko makes consistently hard contact at the plate and uses his present lower half strength for pull-side power.

Sam Wilt  RHP - 2022 - Anamosa, IA
Kirkwood CC

Wilt remains a top uncommitted name in Iowa's 2022 class, as the right-hander ran his fastball up to 83mph and really showed well with the bat. Wilt flashes jump off the barrel to all fields and projects for more power and velocity in the 6-foot-2 frame.

Nick Bassi  RHP - 2022 - Zionsville, IN
St. Charles CC

Bassi had a really strong performance in BP, flashing really good bat speed with the ability to impact the ball to all fields. Bassi also shows some two-way potential, running the fastball up to 86mph.

Jacob Pate  RHP - 2022 - Beardstown, IL
Heartland CC

The right-hander is a really good uncommitted prospect, sitting 83-86mph with the fastball in Marion and showing feel for a curveball at 70. The frame projects for more and Pate already can locate with ease to both sides of the plate.

Oscar Pegg  C - 2022 - Bloomfield, IN
Uncommitted

Pegg has good hands and athletic footwork in the infield, but the Indiana native really stands out with the stick. Pegg uses a lifted plane to drive the ball with present power and showcases quick hands as well.


2023 Top Prospects

Sam Harris  1B - 2023 - Urbandale, IA
Duke

Harris showed well at Prospect Meadows, putting together a loud BP with that big power and smooth left-handed stroke. Harris flashes some two-way potential, as the 6-foot-4 southpaw ran his fastball up to 83mph.

Jackson Kemmerer  OF - 2023 - Trabuco Canyon, CA
Nevada

Kemmerer has a simple approach offensively, showcasing some young bat-to-ball skills with a high-contact approach. Kemmerer runs well (6.61 60Yd) and projects for more arm strength as the frame continues to mature.

Ethan Patterson  RHP - 2023 - Washington, IA
Winona State

Patterson is a really exciting prospect from the Hawkeye state, as the shortstop put together a really good round of BP and ran an impressive 6.96 sixty. Patterson has the athleticism to stick at shortstop defensively with arm strength that will continue to come along.

Zachary Olson  RHP - 2023 - Muskego, WI
Hawaii

Olson stood out at Prospect Meadows, running the fastball up to 86mph while creating good plane and arm-side run. Olson commands a three-pitch mix well and the poise on the hill really stands out.

Jay Mentink  OF - 2023 - Lake Tapps, WA
Princeton

The Washington native came a long way to compete and certainly did not miss a step. Mentink ran a sub-7.00 sixty, taking a high-level BP and standing out defensively. Mentink has easy bat speed and can really drive the ball through the middle of the field.

Kaleb Wise  SS - 2023 - Sedgwick, KS
Uncommitted

Wise had a solid batting practice for the Navy team, driving the ball hard on a line and flashing some serious impact when on time and squared. Wise also pitched, working the fastball to both sides of the plate at 82mph.


2024 Top Prospects

Trey Snyder  SS - 2024 - Kearney, MO
Tennessee

Snyder is a high-level prospect, showcasing high-end athleticism in the infield with present young arm strength across. The swing is pure with power potential and Snyder also ran a 6.92 sixty-yard dash.

Adam Kayko  2B - 2024 - Waukee, IA
Nebraska

Kayko had a good weekend in Marion, showcasing huge power potential in the left-handed swing and flashing some versatility at multiple defensive spots. Kayko shows big jump off the barrel to the pull side and should continue growing into that power as the frame matures.

Jackson Glueck  1B - 2024 - Kansas City, MO
Uncommitted

Glueck is a talented switch-hitter that showed good bat-to-ball skills from both sides. The athletic first baseman moves well around the bag with budding power in a smooth left-handed stroke.
