2021 Top Prospects

Benjamin Baker-Livingston  RHP - 2021 - Richardson, TX
New Mexico

Baker-Livingston was one of the most experienced players at the showcase, with numerous PG major events, including the National Showcase, under his belt for this summer. He topped out at 89 mph, a bit short of his 91-92 from earlier this summer, and showcased his overall athleticism well. He's a New Mexico commit.

Nyan Hayes  SS - 2021 - New Orleans, LA
Howard College

Hayes was one of the top defensive middle infielders at the event, with good quickness and actions and a strong arm. A 6.95 runner, Hayes also had a quick and direct right handed swing that should hit for a high average.

Matthew Randall  SS - 2021 - Alto, TX
Uncommitted

Randall has an outstanding 6-1/175 athletic build and huge physical projection. He's a quality two-way prospect who was one of the best hitters at the showcase and was also up to 86 mph on the mound with a four-pitch mix and plus command potential. There's a high ceiling here at the next level.

Kyson Snelson  OF - 2021 - San Angelo, TX
Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa

Snelson ran a blazing 6.65 sixty and his 88 mph arm from the outfield along with his speed paints him as a high level defensive centerfielder in the future. At 6-2/175, he has lots of strength to still gain at the plate and already has a simple high contact/high average approach as a hitter.

Bryce Calloway  1B - 2021 - Houston, TX
Louisiana-Lafayette

Calloway is an extra large 6-3/240 right handed hitting first baseman who looks like a better prospect as a right handed pitcher. He was up to 89 mph on his fastball with an excellent change up as his best secondary pitch.

Griffin Binkley  RHP - 2021 - Mansfield, TX
Northeast Texas CC

Binkley has a nice and athletic 6-1/175 build and three solid pitches on the mound. He worked in the 83-87 mph range with his fastball with good downhill angle and also showed a nice low 70's curveball and fading change up.

Traejon Blake  MIF - 2021 - England, AR
University of Arkansas-Little Rock

Blake is an athletic young player who already has a commitment to Missouri. He has a short and quick right handed swing at the plate with line drive, gap to gap power. Third base looks like his best position on defense. He also had an easy inning on the mound throwing up to 83 mph.

Tyler Root  RHP - 2021 - Oklahoma City, OK
Oklahoma Christian

Root dominated during his outing, using a fastball that topped out at 87 mph with good running life to go with a sweeping curveball from a 3/4's arm slot and solid change up he could use more often. He threw strikes and projects well.

Will Chauffe  LHP - 2021 - The Woodlands, TX
Pepperdine

The Woodlands HS produces pitchers like Texas produces heat and humidity and Chauffe is a good one. He topped out at 85 mph and showed a nice three pitch mix with a slider and fading change up.

Bennett Hanks  OF - 2021 - Katy, TX
Tyler Junior College

Hanks is a mature 6-2/190 athlete with very good present strength. He has plenty of right handed bat speed and power and put on a nice show in batting practice. He runs well for his size and has some outfield arm strength as well.

Luke Gornell  RHP - 2021 - Southlake, TX

Gornell is a polished four-pitch right hander who lacks size at 5-9/185 but who uses his strong lower half well to generate velocity and consistent direction to the plate. He worked consistently in the mid 80's, with a curveball, change up and cutter/slider and dominated during his four innings on the mound.

Caden Greanead  SS - 2021 - Denton, TX

Greanead has a very projectable 6-3/175 build and tools that will fit well at third base when he fills out and gets stronger. He had plenty of right handed bat speed at the plate and was up to 86 mph on the mound to show his arm strength.

Andrew Kithil  RHP - 2021 - Round Rock, TX

Kithil is a strong 6-1/205 senior with a mid-80's fastball from a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot that has both angle to the plate and heavy sinking action. He also threw a solid low 70's curveball as his second pitch.

James McGlumphy  RHP - 2021 - Round Rock, TX
Mary Hardin-Baylor

McGlumphy has a strong 6-2/185 frame and a sound delivery that enabled him to throw strikes with four pitches. He topped out at 85 mph with good life and mixed in a slider, curveball and change up and filled up the strike zone. He also showed his athleticism very well with his defensive ability coming off the mound.

Connor McBryde  OF - 2021 - Spring, TX
Houston Baptist University

McBryde is a nice overall athlete with a projectable 6-1/180 build. He ran the sixty in 6.73 and showed plenty of right handed bat speed, with more to come.

Ryan Daniels  SS - 2021 - Oceanside, CA

Daniels is just your prototypical polished Southern Californian player who understands the game well and has high level skills. He profiles as a second baseman at the next level but can also be helpful on the mound with a his strike throwing ability with an 83 mph fastball and sharp slider.


2022 Top Prospects

Noah O'Farrell  RHP - 2022 - New Caney, TX
Wharton County Junior College

O'Farrell is a 6-1/155 primary shortstop who has good agility in the field and a strong right handed bat but his future might be on the mound. He was up to 89 mph with a calm and repeatable delivery and showed the ability to spin the ball as well.

Chase Sowell  OF - 2022 - Humble, TX

Sowell looks the part with a very athletic and projectable 6-2/180 build and very good speed. He has excellent hitting mechanics and growing bat speed at the plate and looks like he can play all over the field defensively.

Carson Hintz  C - 2022 - Spring, TX
Arkansas State

Hintz stood out in every area at the showcase. He was outstanding on defense behind the plate, showed bat speed and power at the plate and was mid-80's off the mound. He's a player to follow closely moving forward.

Xander McAfee  OF - 2022 - Midlothian, TX

McAfee has one of the highest ceilings of any player at the showcase. A 6-3/185 athlete with smooth actions all over the field, the right handed hitter has big bat speed at the plate and lots of power potential. He also may have been the top defensive outfielder, with outstanding jumps and instincts.

Cole Carter  RHP - 2022 - Flower Mound, TX
TCU

Carter has a medium 5-11/180 build with some present strength and a deceptive delivery that features a tight low 3/4's arm slot that really hides the ball well. He topped out at 88 mph on his fastball and had plenty of confidence in a big sweeping 77 mph slider.

Davis Baker  SS - 2022 - Dallas, TX
Pennsylvania

Baker is a very nice all around athlete with lots of projection in his 6-2/170 build. He ran very well, 6.74 in the sixty, and showed lots of arm strength from the infield, outfield and on the mound. His right handed bat is solid as well. It's easy to see him keep improving in all areas over the next few years.

Michael Banderas  RHP - 2022 - Antioch, CA

Banderas is a solidly build 6-1/195 right hander with a very simple turn and throw delivery. He worked in the mid-80's with his fastball but his best pitch was a slider up to 77 mph that most hitters at this level simply aren't going to be able to square up.

Braden Gostisha  OF - 2022 - Round Rock, TX
Tarleton State/Navarro College

Gostisha is a solid all around athlete with a nice 6-0/170 build. He ran the sixty in 6.83 and his best tool was his left handed bat. He gets into his lower half very well to help generate his bat speed and has a nice swing plane that promises future power.

Garrett Graham  3B - 2022 - Abilene, TX

Graham is a solid all around athlete who has the speed and arm strength to play all over the field, although the 6-0/205 athlete seems made to stay behind the plate. He has big power in his right handed swing and hit a game home run. He was also 85 mph off the mound.

Logun Clark  C - 2022 - Taft, CA

Clark showed good athleticism and a strong arm behind the plate defensively but his best tool was his right handed bat. He's a strong 6-1/195 right handed hitter who had some of the best raw power at the showcase and swung the bat well in the games.

Adam Vaughn  RHP - 2022 - Cedar Park, TX
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

Vaughn is a strong young third baseman with a 6-1/200 build and solid two-way talents. He has a strong right handed bat with plenty of power potential and was also up to 86 mph on the mound with good spin on his curveball.

Braylen Timmins  LHP - 2022 - Lancaster, TX
Amarillo College

Timmins is a very athletic primary pitcher with a projectable, long limbed, 6-2/185 build. He was up to 85 on the mound with big angle to the plate from an extended 3/4's release point. He may have an even higher ceiling, though, as a left handed hitter with big raw bat speed.

Luke Rossi  SS - 2022 - Salinas, CA
San Francisco

The 6-2/190 Rossi showed some of the best strength of any hitter at the showcase and the ball came off his right handed bat louder than almost any other hitter. He has nice agility for his size in the middle infield.

Jake Duer  OF - 2022 - Flower Mound, TX
TCU

Duer is a very athletic left hander with smooth actions in the outfield and 6.8 speed in the sixty. His left handed swing is fluid and projectable with very good barrel to ball skills.

Reese Milam  RHP - 2022 - Tatum, TX
Navarro College

Milam has a projectable 6-2/180 build and a long and loose arm action on the mound. He worked consistently low in the zone with a 85 mph fastball and sharp 73 mph slider that he showed very good feel for. He also had nice power potential at the plate.

Joshua Rivas  RHP - 2022 - Houston, TX
St. Edward’s

Rivas is listed as a primary first baseman but he was one of the most versatile players at the showcase and showed skills and tools around the diamond, including on the mound where he was up to 84 mph. He's a right handed hitter with a sound fundamental swing and the bat speed to drive the gaps.

Dejuan Lewis  OF - 2022 - Pearland, TX

Lewis is a very versatile athlete who graded out well both as on outfielder and as a catcher on defense, with catching, his present secondary position, being especially interesting. The 5-11/185 right handed hitter has present bat speed and drove the gaps well.

James Killough  RHP - 2022 - Winters, TX

Killough is a young 6-1/155 right hander with lots of growing to do physically but his skills are already well developed. He was very effective with a three pitch mix that included a fastball up to 84 mph, a upper 60's curveball and his best pitch, a deceptive and lively change up. He worked low in the zone and generated lots of swing and miss, especially on his secondary pitches.

William Qualia  RHP - 2022 - Lubbock, TX

Qualia is a 6-5/205 right hander with a smooth delivery and right arm and the ability to throw three pitches for strikes at any time. His fastball topped out at 81 mph, with plenty more there in the future, with his curveball and change up both being outstanding secondary offerings.


2023 Top Prospects

Garet Boehm  3B - 2023 - Taylor, TX
Texas Tech

Boehm is a legit two-way talent with an already impressive 6-2/185 build. A right handed hitter who profiles as a third baseman down the road, Boehm has big power potential and hit a no doubt bomb in the games. He was steady in the mid-80's off the mound from a low effort delivery to go with a good low-70's curveball.

Jeremiah Robles  1B - 2023 - Irvine, CA
Northern Kentucky

Robles is a physically impressive 6-3/185 two-way player from Southern California. A left handed hitter, he may have had the best pure power potential at the event and was a sure handed and agile first baseman on defense. On the mound, Robles was up to 81 mph with a nice breaking ball and plenty of ceiling as he gets stronger.

JJ Kennett  C - 2023 - Missouri City, TX
Dallas Baptist

Kennett is a small but quick twitch catcher at 5-9/145 who stood out on both sides of the ball with his athleticism. He moves and throws very well behind the plate and his right handed swing has lots more bat speed and impact than one would think given his age and size. Watch out if he has a growth spurt.

Jon Shields  BHP - 2023 - Magnolia, TX

Shields is an athletic unicorn, a fully ambidextrous player both on the mound and in the batters box. He was up to 84 mph with clean mechanics and good command throwing both left handed and right handed and also showed power from both sides of the plate as a switch-hitter.

Ian McCracken  OF - 2023 - Carrollton, TX
Fort Scott CC

McCracken is a tall and lanky 6-4/170 outfielder with good speed for his size. His best tool is his right handed bat, where he showed both his power potential with a big game home run and good barrel control, with three singles in his other game.

David Hyde  RHP - 2023 - Murphy, TX
Grayson County College

Hyde is a 6-1/165 young right hander with a fast arm. He topped out at 87 mph with good downhill angle to his fastball and complimented his heat with a nice low 70's slider. He's definitely one to watch carefully as he physically matures.

Davis Rivers  C - 2023 - Waller, TX
Texas Tech

Rivers had solid catching actions and tools behind the plate defensively but really stood out with the bat. He has good strength in his 5-11/185 build and a strong left handed swing that really uses his lower half well to help generate power and bat speed.

Jackson Low  RHP - 2023 - Richmond, TX
Blinn College

Low is a primary outfielder but his future is likely on the mound. The 6-1/155 right hander has a whippy arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot and maintained 83-86 mph on his fastball for three innings while flashing tight spin on his breaking ball.

Callen Singhania  OF - 2023 - Dallas, TX
Trinity University (Texas)

Singhania is a nice all around athlete who looks to have the tools to stay in the middle infield for a long time. He's a 6.99 runner with fluid actions in the middle infield and swings a strong right handed bat.

Daniel Garcia  OF - 2023 - Spring, TX

Garcia has lots of growing to do from his current 5-8/145 but he has big present arm strength. He threw 90 mph from the outfield and was up to 83 mph with advanced pitchabiity from the mound.

Cason Davenport  SS - 2023 - Fort Worth, TX
Utah Valley University

Davenport is a well rounded young athlete who could end up being better on either side of the ball depending on his development. He's a right handed hitter with good bat speed and nice flow to his swing and gets some jump up the gaps. Off the mound, the 6-0/175 athlete was up to 82mph from a very sound and simple delivery and showed real depth and spin on his curveball.

Bryce Dwyer  C - 2023 - Spring, TX
Coastal Alabama CC

Dwyer is a plus athlete for a catcher and his quick twitch athleticism is evident on defense in his actions behind the plate. A right handed hitter, Dwyer has quick hands at the plate and creates bat speed with an aggressive swing approach.

Aiden Kennon  RHP - 2023 - Greenwood, AR
Arkansas Tech

Kennon is a big and strong 6-1/205 right hander with a smooth and athletic delivery and a fastball that works steadily in the mid-80's. He was a strike thrower with a heavy fastball that stayed low in the zone consistently.

Carter Aldmon  2B - 2023 - Cypress, TX
Trinity University (Texas)

Aldmon is a talented left handed hitting middle infielder with a polished bat that projects very well as he gets stronger. Although he's listed as a primary second baseman, he looks to have left side infield arm strength.


2024 Top Prospects

Matthew Priest  OF - 2024 - San Diego, CA
Southern California

Priest is an outstanding runner for his age and posted a 6.71 time in the sixty. He also stood out offensively, with very quick hands from the right side and a well timed swing that squared up the ball hard and often.

Tag Andrews  RHP - 2024 - Maumelle, AR
Arkansas

Andrews was one of the youngest players at the showcase but the 5-11/160 freshman impressed with his arm on the mound. He topped out at 85 mph but his best pitch was a mid 70's curveball with tight spin and big depth from a high 3/4's release point.
