Deep South Bring the Heat Scout Notes

Walker Allen (2023 Birmingham, Ala.) is a lean athletic shortstop who showed serious potential at the plate all weekend hitting third for his Central Alabama Brewers squad. His 6-foot 155 pound frame has plenty of room to fill with a good base to start with. At short stop he is light on his feet with some lateral quickness. His arm showed some developing arm strength that will only get better as he continues to mature. At the plate he did a nice job creating leverage from his smooth right-handed stroke and was able to split the gaps for extra bases on a consistent basis.

Chase Williams (2023 Elmore, Ala.) is a very versatile defender with the ability to play in the outfield and the middle infield with good reads no matter the position. Offensively he was a serious threat all weekend hitting lead-off for TPL National 2023. As a switch hitter he saw success from both sides of the plate.
