Prospect Meadows Scout Notes: July 24

Connor Barker (2022, Atwater, MN) put together a strong performance at the plate in Saturday morning’s first time slot, going 3 for 4 and absolutely crushing a ball off the scoreboard in left-center field for a two-run homerun. Barker has present strength in the 6-0, 205 pound frame, doing well to get his hands extended while showing plenty of present power to that pull side. Defensively, the primary first baseman shined at hot corner on Saturday. Barker moves well to position and shows some glove side range that projects well to stick at third base moving forward. The Minnesota Starters power threat is certainly a name to follow moving forward.
