The Hitters program has historically produced high-level position players that shine on the Perfect Game tournament circuit, and TJ Schuyler (2023, Antioch, IL) is another example of that program depth. The Indiana commit showed his muscle on Friday night, most notably driving a ball the opposite way for a run-scoring single in his first trip to the plate. Schuyler has added some strength to the frame that stands out, showcasing advanced barrel feel and control to create much of what you want in a young prospect. Schuyler’s presence at the plate is certainly impressive, but the skills at catcher shine as well. Schuyler receives well, showing plenty of athleticism and overall feel for the position as well. Ranked as the No. 250 player in the 2023 class, the Hitters’ backstop should be a fun follow throughout his prep career.
