Thomas Marquardt (2022, San Antonio, Texas) had a solid start on the mound for Test Baseball 16u Black. His high three-quarters arm slot showed a steady 83-86 mph fastball while topping out at 87 mph multiple times. His fastball had good carry on it and produced plenty of swings-and-misses. Marquardt complimented his fastball well with two different breaking balls. He threw a big curveball with good top to bottom break which kept hitters off balance. The second breaking ball he showcased was a tight slider ranging from 79-81 mph. He threw an occasional changeup in the upper 70s. He threw all pitches in and around the zone while giving up minimal solid contact.
