Nick Locurto (2023 Garnerville, N.Y.) has had an outstanding week at the plate so far. The New York native made the long haul down to Georgia and is making a statement as one of the top bats in the event. The righthanded hitter shows quick hands as he fires the hips and generates big bat speed. He looks to do damage with every swing and has proved he can do so consistently. Locurto is currently hitting .667 on the week with an OPS of 1.789. He has six doubles to his name and has knocked in a jaw dropping thirteen runs. He also plays a solid centerfield with good feel for the position. He makes quick reads off the bat and covers a lot of ground. He is currently uncommitted but look for that to change as he has had one of the best weeks of the summer so far for his entire class. College coaches take note, as he has gone under the radar for far too long now.
