Commitment: Georgia Tech

Yates is young for the grade who participated in last year’s inaugural 13u PG Select Festival and since toeing the rubber in Oklahoma he’s continued to see an uptick in his overall arsenal. Strongly built at 5-foot-10, 175-pounds, Yates has already put together a couple of impressive performances in his Perfect Game career as he took home two MV-Pitcher awards last summer while making several All-Tournament Teams. His arm action is plenty quick through the back side and he generates nice sinking life to his fastball in the bottom of the zone, routinely working into the mid-80s while peaking at 88 mph last September.
