2020 PG Select Dates Announced

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Perfect Game is excited to announce the dates for the 2020 14u and 13u Perfect Game Select Festivals, the premier events of the year for players in these age groups.

The 14u will once again be held in Fort Myers, Fla., September 4-6 at JetBlue Park, Spring Training home of the Boston Red Sox. Proceeds will once again go to Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and the event includes a visit to the hospital where the players have the opportunity to interact with young patients. This game will feature the top 44 14u players in North America.

The 13u Perfect Game Select Festival is once again set to take place at the University of Oklahoma on August 21-23 with proceeds benefitting Toby Keith’s OK Kids Korral. This game will feature the top 32 13u players in North America.

For a player to be eligible for the 14u Select Festival they must be born on or after May 1, 2005 or be a member of the high school class of 2024 and participate at a Perfect Game event between September 2019 and August 2 of 2020, the final day of the 14u National Showcase.

The same guidelines apply for the 13u Festival in that a player must be born on or after May 1, 2006 or be a member of the high school class of 2025 class and participate at a Perfect Game event between September 2019 and July 26, 2020.

The 13u age group will be afforded more opportunities for exposure and selection to the festival this upcoming season with the introduction of 13u players being included in the 14u regional showcases. These regional showcases will provide players the opportunity to be selected for the inaugural 13u National Showcase which is set to be held on July 11-12, 2020 in Sanford, Florida following the 13u World Series.

The 14u National Showcase has proven to be fruitful with Select Festival participants as the number rose from 16 selections in 2018 to 30 last year, several of whom were seen for the first time at a regional showcase earlier in the showcase season and the 13u National Showcase should prove to be no different.

While much of the 2020 14u schedule of showcases has been released, showcases will continuously be added around the country for both the 13u and 14u age groups. Keep an eye on the showcase schedule page on the link that follows as dates and locations are added.
