The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League typically runs through Amsterdam, New York each season, with 2019 being no different. The Mohawks celebrated their fifth league title in eight years this August, with a dominating run through the league which saw them earn the best overall record during the regular season and sweep through the postseason.

Amsterdam swept the Adirondack Trail Blazers in the PGCBL Championship behind a strong performance from PGCBL Player of the Year and Top Prospect Maxwell Costes, who hit two home runs in Game 1 and went 3-for-3 in Game 2.

The talent level in the PGCBL continues to rise each season, with more and more Power 5 schools sending their young players to Upstate New York to work for the summer. Schools such as Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Alabama and Virginia regularly send players to the PGCBL during the summer months, and more blue bloods are starting to follow suit.
