2019 17u WWBA National Championship: Event Page

The 17th annual 17u WWBA National Championship takes place this week in the Greater Atlanta Area, with most of the top 2020 grads all descending on Georgia to show their talent. A number of top MLB players once played in the same event. Below are the top 10 (plus) drafted players that once played in the 17u National Championship, including draft year and a snippet of what their professional careers have panned out.

The list could almost be filled by No. 1 overall picks, among which we have gotten a Cy Young, an MVP, hundreds of home runs and plenty of future potential. The same can be said of the No. 2 overall picks on the list. Guys like Mike Trout, Chris Sale, Javier Baez, and many other MLB All Stars who played in the 17u National Championship don’t make the list, because they were drafted outside the Top 2 in their respective drafts.
