No April Fool's jokes here, UCLA remains on top of the updated Perfect Game College Top 25, but previously second-ranked Mississippi State drops four spots to No. 6 after they lost their series at home to visiting LSU. The Bulldogs took the first game of the series and appeared to be in command playing at Dudy Noble Field, but it wasn't meant to be as the Tigers out-scored them 21-7 over the final two games.

The series win for LSU is significant coming off of a series loss to Georgia in Athens a week ago. The Tigers, who opened the year as the No. 1 team in the nation, are now 6-3 in SEC play, tied with Arkansas and Auburn in the loaded SEC West and a half game behind 6-2-1 Texas A&M, who earned a 1-1-1 split with Mizzou over the weekend.

Heading into Sunday's play, 11 of the ranked teams were playing a rubber match. While there are two new teams entering the rankings – UC Santa Barbara and Clemson – those that remain for the most part enjoyed winning weeks. Only Mississippi State, Arkansas, Coastal Carolina and TCU lost their weekend series. The teams that got bumped, Florida State and Oklahoma, also lost key series. FSU and OU in particular also lost midweek contests against in-state rivals, Florida and Oklahoma State, respectively, which didn't help their case.

After opening the year in the Preseason Top 25, Clemson re-enters the rankings for the second time as they aim to make sure they won't get booted for a third time in the same year. UC Santa Barbara gives the rankings a second team from the Big West coming off of a big series victory over Cal State Fullerton.

Because of the sustained success for most of the teams in the Top 25 it was time to reward Arizona State for their amazing 25-1 start to the year coming off of a sweep of their own in-state and Pac-12 rivals, Arizona. Arkansas falls hard as a result after losing their series at home to Ole Miss, dropping from No. 8 to No. 17.

With Mississippi State's series loss Stanford moves up to their highest position of the season at No. 2 with Oregon State, Vanderbilt and NC State rounding out the top five teams.
