Mid-Atlantic Region High School Dream Team

C - Raymond Torres, Sr., Providence HS (N.C.) 
Torres' arm strength and defensive abilities behind the plate have always stood out at PG events, and the LSU commit has seen his offensive abilities develop over time as well, making him one of the better overall catchers in the class. The arm strength and athleticism behind the dish stand out, and as a switch-hitter he's done a very good job consistently adding strength to his game and now shows off some pretty serious pop from both sides of the plate. He's squarely on draft radars this spring. 

1B - Jack Bulger, Jr., Dematha Catholic HS (Md.)
One of the underclassmen on this list, Bulger is a catcher by trade and should be a pretty safe bet to be in the catching spot on this list next year. Regardless, his offensive profile would hold up at any position, as Bulger has consistently shown an advanced approach to go along with big time power from the right side of the plate, and he's consistently produced at the highest level in the process. He's a very solid defensive catcher as well, who has a chance to be an immediate impact type of player at Vanderbilt, where he's committed. 

2B - Jamari Baylor, Sr., Benedictine HS (Va.)
Baylor is a pretty intriguing two-way talent who absolutely has the tools to both pitch and be a middle infielder at the college level. He's an athletic middle infield prospect with very good speed and twitch, showing the tools to potentially play shortstop long term. He's also an extremely intriguing hitter with very good bat speed and the potential for some power. On the mound he's into the low-90s with his fastball and has shown the makings of a dynamic breaking ball as well. 

SS - Jose Torres, Sr., Calvert Hill College (Md.) 
Torres has put on some special hitting displays in the highest-level PG events he's played in over the last year or so, including a 1.438 OPS at the 17u WWBA National Championship and then a 1.471 OPS at the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter. A North Carolina State signee, Torres shows seriously impressive hitting tools to go along with some extra base pop, and does a very good job in the middle field, where he projects to be able to stay long term. 

3B - Thomas Keehn, Sr., Dematha Catholic HS (Md.) 
Another player who could fit into the UT category as a two-way talent, Keehn, in addition to being a talented hitter, is into the low-90s on the mound with a solid curveball. Offensively, Keehn shows very good bat speed with excellent strength, looking every bit like a future power-hitting corner infielder. He profiles very well at third base, where he has good hands and range to go along with a very strong throwing arm, which has been clocked into the 90s as well. Keehn is signed with Duke. 

OF - Tyler Demartino, Sr., Walt Whitman HS (Md.)
Demartino has a well-rounded toolset and athleticism that fits well in left field, where he also has the arm strength to play the position. He's also shown the positional versatility to potentially play the corner infield as well. Regardless of position, Demartino, a West Virginia signee, has always hit and there are no signs of that slowing down. He has very good feel for the barrel with plenty of bat speed and physical strength, and looks like he could be an immediate impact bat for the Mountaineers in 2020. 

OF - Alex Urban, Jr., River Bluff HS (S.C.) 
Another underclassman on this list, Urban, a Clemson commit, has shown the potential to be one of the top bats in the class of 2020. A lefthanded hitter with very good physicality, Urban likely fits in an outfield corner long term, but has the arm strength and athleticism to play right field. He has very good pop in that lefthanded bat, and could potentially end up as one of the preeminent power threats in the class as he continues to develop. 

OF - Dylan Rogers, Sr., Dorman HS (S.C.) 
Rogers, who could have gotten the nod at first base as well, will head to Kentucky with some versatility about his profile, with the potential to play corner outfield as well as first base for the Wildcats. He's projected to the be a middle-of-the-order presence at some point as well, with a clean lefthanded stroke and lots of strength that generates good pull side power, and he does a good job handling the barrel in general as well. He's another player on this list who could have immediate impact at their respective college right away next year. 

UT - Alex Greene, Jr., Dematha Catholic HS (Md.) 
A very talented junior, Greene is a legitimate two-way talent who is committed to Virginia. A quality athlete, Greene is a solid runner and defensive outfielder where his arm strength is an absolute weapon, having already been clocked up to 98 mph on his throws. He has a chance to be an impact hitter at the next level as well with an easy swing and loud pop, while on the mound he's been up to 93 mph with his fastball and has shown the makings of a dynamic breaking ball. 

P - Chris Villaman, Sr., Ledford HS (N.C.)
Villaman has long been on the national scouting radar, but he took a pretty significant step at East Coast Pro last summer and is now amongst the highest-priority prep follows for scouts in the Carolinas. He's an athletic lefthander who has been up to 93 mph with his fastball and his breaking ball has improved by leaps-and-bounds over the past couple years, now showing above-average potential with good spin and a lot of depth. He's signed with North Carolina State. 

P - AJ Wilson, Sr., East Surry HS (N.C.) 
Wilson earns the distinction for having one of the better breaking balls in the class, and the rest of his profile is pretty impressive as well. He has some deception to his delivery to go along with athleticism, and has been into the 90s with his fastball consistently while also showing that dynamic slider, a pitch that has been consistently recorded with plus spin by Trackman in PG events. An East Carolina commit, Wilson could be an absolute weapon for the Pirates right away in 2019. 

P - Liam Norris, Jr., Green Hope HS (N.C.) 
One of the top players in the class of 2020 at this juncture, Norris certainly passes the eye test as a big, physical lefty with all the tools to potentially be a frontline starter. The fastball has already been up to 94 mph and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him pitch in the mid-90s this summer, while his curveball, when on, is one of the best breaking balls in the class. Norris possesses sky-high upside and has long been on 2020 draft radars, and could be in store for a huge year. 

P - Collin Bosley-Smith, Jr., Woodrow Wilson HS (D.C.) 
Bosley-Smith really exploded at the PG Top Prospect Games at Maryland this past fall, where he took the mound and worked a consistently 90-93 mph with his fastball and showed the makings of a dynamic breaking ball. He has very good size and is still projectable physically, giving him pretty substantial upside that we're all looking forward to seeing again in 2019. He's committed to Duke. 

P - Alex Edmondson, Jr., Mauldin HS (S.C.) 
Edmondson, who is still quite young for the class of 2020, has long been lauded for his projection, ease of operation, and ultimate upside. Committed to Clemson, Edmondson has a really loose, whippy arm to go along with excellent arm speed and has been up to 93 mph with his fastball already. He's also shown good feel for his breaking ball, a slurvier pitch but one with excellent spin and bite. He's also shown a very good ability to consistently throw strikes, speaking to his athleticism.
