2020 Top Prospects

Will Sanders  RHP - 2020 - Atlanta, GA
South Carolina

Sanders was electric during his stint on the mound as the 6-foot-6, 188-pound South Carolina commit ran his fastball up to 90 mph and missed a ton of bats. The MV-Pitcher of the WWBA Underclass World, Sanders has excellent physical projection and showed very good feel for his changeup, which was ran up to 80 mph with late sinking life.

Brad Grenkoski  OF - 2020 - Kennesaw, GA
Chipola College

Grenkowski has big physical tools to go with his big 6-4/200 build. He ran a 6.88 in the sixty and threw 95 mph from the outfield; the Georgia Tech commit has been up to 91 on the mound before as well. He hits them high and long from the right side at the plate with plus future power potential.

Ian Bahn  RHP - 2020 - Shoreview, MN
South Dakota State

A Minnesota native, Bahn has an exceptionally strong lower half at 6-0/210 -- his second sport is as a middle distance short track speed skater -- and he uses it very well to produce a 90 mph fastball and a true 82 mph power slider. Bahn also has prospect level bat speed and power from the left side of the plate.

Harold Coll  SS - 2020 - Hyde Park, GA
University of Houston/San Jacinto CC

Coll is a young North Carolina commit from the Northeast who has very good present bat speed from a deceptively easy and low tension swing. His arm strength, which registered 92 mph in drills, is his big defensive tool.

Kyle Vinci  1B - 2020 - Mendham, NJ
Princeton

Vinci is plus strong at 6-3/220 and has serious right handed bat speed and an ideal swing plane and approach for his physical tools. He showed as much raw power as any player at the Underclass Showcase. Interestingly, Vinci plays on a Delbarton HS team that already features two PG All-Americans in Jack Leiter and Anthony Volpe.

Braden Wallace  OF - 2020 - Wimberley, TX
Hill College

Wallace is an extra strong 6-1/195 athlete who stands out for his left handed bat speed and ability to drive the ball hard to the middle of the field. He also threw 88 mph from the outfield and ran a 7.08 sixty.

Kendry Noriega  OF - 2020 - Miami, FL
Florida International/Florida Southwestern State College

A Florida International commit, Noriega has a lean and projectable 6-0/155 build and lots of quick twitch strength. He has a chance to be a plus defensive outfielder with 6.74 speed, a 90 mph arm and the ability to close on the ball athletically. He also projects potential plus power at the plate.

Corey Avant  OF - 2020 - Monroe, NC
Wingate

The 6-4/190 Avant is a two-way prospect with lots of physical projection on both sides of the ball. He showed lots of power potential at the plate from the right side and was up to 86 mph on the mound with a curveball and change up on the mound.

Mitchell Balint  C - 2020 - Avondale, PA
Carson-Newman University

Balint has very good hitting tools for a catcher with a quick line drive stroke that produced consistent hard contact. He popped 1.87 during drills and has nice quickness behind the plate defensively.

Andrew Bennett  1B - 2020 - Kennesaw, GA
Samford

The 6-4/195 Bennett has a power arm and a power bat. His 92 mph arm strength from the outfield stood out and he looked plenty athletic enough to be a primary right fielder instead of first baseman. He was also up to 86 mph on the mound.

Joey Bush  OF - 2020 - Highlands Ranch, CO

Bush is a tall and angular 6-5/185 athlete who already has lots of right handed bat speed and potential plus power. If he can fill out and get stronger, he's a high ceiling young hitter.

Neal has a very athletic 6-1/185 build and good present strength that is just going to keep improving. He ran a 6.87 sixty and showed a very accurate and strong arm from the outfield to go with quick hands and present bat speed at the plate.

Miami

Pitelli has next level defensive tools in the middle infield, with lots of body life and bounce and a very strong and accurate throwing arm. That arm strength translated well to the mound, where he was up to 86 mph with a very good curveball.

Carlson Reed  RHP - 2020 - Marietta, GA
West Virginia

Reed is a two-way prospect with a projectable 6-3/180 build. He showed the ability to drive the ball hard to all fields from the left side of the plate and threw 91 mph from the outfield to go with up to 87 mph from the mound.

Nelson Rivera  C - 2020 - Toa Alta, PR
South Florida

Rivera was one of the best defensive players at the event behind the plate. He had a 1.87 pop with 80 mph arm strength in drills but was even better in games, blocking every ball and even throwing a runner out from his knees.

Turner Thompson  RHP - 2020 - Tampa, FL
Tulane

Thompson has a strong and mature 6-0/190 build and a fast right arm that produced an 84-88 mph fastball that had outstanding running and cutting life at different times. He also threw a sharp breaking slider that gets off barrels well.

Trip Wilson  OF - 2020 - Belden, MS
Memphis

Wilson is a lean and projectable 6-3/175 athlete with a very strong throwing arm. He was up to 92 mph from the outfield in drills and worked up to 88 mph with a 74 mph curveball on the mound. He also showed plenty of right handed bat speed.

Daniel Lavoy  C - 2020 - Homestead, FL

Lavoy has solid defensive tools behind the plate, including 81 mph arm strength with a 1.90 pop time. He has a strong right handed bat as well and made consistently hard and loud line drive contact.

Roney was one of the best defensive catchers at the event and showed next level potential in the infield as well. He has a short and polished right handed swing that should produce a high average at the plate. He's also a Boston College commit.

Carney has plenty of room left to get stronger with his slender 6-1/160 body. He has quick hands at the plate on offense and is a potential two-way prospect with a smooth and easy delivery and a mid-80's fastball.

Joseph Coffey  OF - 2020 - Winter Garden, FL
University of Central Florida

Coffey showed high ceiling tools on both sides of the ball, including 6.71 speed and advanced skills and fundamentals in the outfield. His right handed swing was strong with plenty of bat speed and pull side power.

Daniel Figueroa  OF - 2020 - Toa Alta, PR

Figueroa is a toolsy athlete who ran a 6.83 and threw 89 mph from the outfield while showing his athleticism well going after the ball. A switch-hitter, Figueroa's best bat speed and barrel path is from the right side at present.

Hahn has a projectable 6-1/180 build and solid all around tools and athleticism. His right handed bat was his best present tool, with a short and fast right handed swing that wore out the wall in left field during batting practice.

Jackson Kemp  C - 2020 - Gainesville, GA

Kemp was one of the strongest players at the event and the right handed hitter simply overpowers the ball at the plate, making hard pull side line drive contact from an aggressive approach.

Ryan McCauley  RHP - 2020 - New Port Richey, FL
Palm Beach State

McCauley is a Tennessee commit with an extra large 6-6/205 build. He has a well controlled and balanced delivery that produces a fastball up to 87 mph.

This was Paulino's first Perfect Game event and we're anxious to see more of him in the future. The 6-4/205 athlete was up to 89 mph on his fastball with good sinking action. He is also a 4.0 student.

Rivera is a short but strong catcher who has quick feet and a quick release behind the plate defensively. He showed a very polished and strong approach at the plate and wore out the left field wall during batting practice.

Seda is a quick twitch middle infielder with polished and athletic defensive actions to go with a strong arm across the diamond. He also has a chance on the mound, as he threw 86-87 mph consistently with lots of life and pounded the strike zone.

Alabama State/Patrick Henry CC

Serrano has a high waisted and projectable 6-0/170 build and a very strong right arm from the left side of the infield that registered 92 mph during infield drills. His right handed swing shows developing bat speed with good barrel control.

Ethan Stamps  2B - 2020 - Madison, GA
Young Harris College

Stamps has a weight lifter's extra strong 5-11/190 build that would fit best behind the plate defensively. His right handed power is his best present tool, although he was also was up to 87 mph on the mound from a variety of arm slots.

Jaylen Thompson  OF - 2020 - Atlanta, GA

Thompson is a 6-4/195 athlete who can play every position on the field except for catcher. He's a primary pitcher who throws up to 84 mph from a low 3/4's arm slot that gives him big running and sinking action at times.

Torrado stands out with his athletic 6-3/190 build and ran a 6.93 sixty. His best present tool was his right handed bat speed and his ability to fire his hands hard to contact to drive the ball.

Wells is a solid all around athlete with two-way potential. He has nice middle infield actions on defense with plenty of arm strength and quick hands at the plate with some present bat speed and plenty of potential for more. Wells was also up to 86 mph on the mound with heavy sink and good downhill angle.

Lander

Wilder is a very polished right handed hitter who looks like he's going to hit for a high average with same gap power. He showed big infield arm strength at 89 mph with good actions through the ball and was also up to 84 mph on the mound.

Bayron Acevedo  LHP - 2020 - Palmetto, FL
Pensacola State

Acevedo is an undersized southpaw at 5-8/162 but has long arms and creates angle to the plate. he topped out at 85 mph and showed three quality off speed pitches in a curveball, slider and change up while pounding the strike zone.

Hunter Beindorff  RHP - 2020 - Lone Tree, CO
Tufts University

There were numerous quality prospects at the Underclass Showcase from Valor Christian HS in Colorado and most of them, like Beindorff, had fluid swings with nice bat speed. Beindorth also ran a 6.89 sixty and threw 81 mph off the mound.

Dane Black  RHP - 2020 - Key West, FL
Nova Southeastern

Black is a primary right handed pitcher with a strong 6-2/205 build and a fastball that reached 84 mph. He may be a better hitting prospect, though, as his right handed swing produces bat speed and plus power potential.

Bryce Carley  OF - 2020 - Niceville, FL
Northwest Florida State College

Carley has a nice combination of athletic tools, with 6.93 speed, an 87 mph throwing arm from the outfield with good overall actions plus a strong right handed swing. He is committed to Morehead State.

Alec Ducasse  SS - 2020 - Pembroke Pines, FL
East Tenn State

Ducasse is listed at 5-10/145 but he has some wiry strength and is a quick twitch athlete. he ran the sixty in 6.87 and showed ability both offensively and defensively that should continue to improve as he matures physically.

Robin Fernandez  3B - 2020 - Miami, FL
St. Thomas University

Fernandez looks the part at 6-3/195 and has good one spot athleticism for his size. He has a plus infield throwing arm at 90 mph and threw 84 mph off the mound. His next step is learning how to tap into his power potential.

Kevin Figueredo  1B - 2020 - Miami, FL
Florida International

Figueredo has a big and strong 6-2/200 build and a versatile set of defensive tools along with a mid-80's fastball on the mound. His best tool is his legit switch-hitting ability, with bat speed from both sides of the plate and more power from the left side.

Logan Frady  RHP - 2020 - Sharpsburg, GA
LaGrange College/East Georgia College

Frady is a primary outfielder with 6.94 speed but he graded out much higher as a pitcher at this event. He was up to 87 mph from a quick arm action on his fastball and his upper 70's slider was a legit strikeout pitch with late and deep biting action.

Jimmy Hutson  C - 2020 - Prosper, TX

Hutson is a very different athlete than his freshman brother Jarrett (see below), with outstanding present strength and a 6-1/205 build. He has very fast hands from the right side at the plate and can drive a ball hard.

Joseph Rodriguez Collazo  SS - 2020 - Bayamon, PR
El Paso CC

Collazo has a slender 5-11/147 build with lots of athleticism. He ran a 6.55 sixty and showed nice outfield arm strength. His right handed swing is loose and whippy and if he can get a bit stronger, there will be some real bat speed there.

Devin Sweeney  LHP - 2020 - Yardley, PA
Delaware

Sweeney is an athletic 6-2/185 left hander with three solid present pitchers in an 84 mph fastball, a sharp curveball in the low 70's and a mid-70's change up. He showed the ability to work both sides of the plate and mix his pitches well.

Jonathan Velazquez  3B - 2020 - Miami, FL
Stetson

Velazquez, a Stetson recruit, has a big and mature 6-1/195 build and a long and strong right handed swing that produces lots of power. He showed big arm strength in the infield and was up to 84 mph on the mound with a good curveball.

Frank Elissalt  RHP - 2020 - Miami, FL
Nova Southeastern/Florida Southwestern State College

Ellissalt is a primary third baseman with a big infield throwing arm and some power from the right side of the plate but he graded out higher on the mound at this event. He has a polished easy delivery and threw an 84-87 mph fastball with excellent late life at times.

Ravaughn Morgan  OF - 2020 - Pflugerville, TX
McLennan CC

Morgan looks the part of the prospect with his 6-3/180 build and has plenty of tools to back it up, including 6.85 speed in the sixty. He has the potential for big left handed power at the plate if he can make some swing adjustments to take advantage of his bat speed and leverage.


2021 Top Prospects

Tommy White  3B - 2021 - St. Pete Beach, FL
Louisiana State

White had the highest exit velocity during DK drills and anyone who watched his batting practice, where he launched numerous balls completely out of JetBlue Park, wouldn't be surprised at that. The North Carolina State commit has a potential impact bat.

Bryant Colon  OF - 2021 - Greenacres, FL
Seminole State College

Colon is an athletic young middle infielder with tools on both sides of the ball and plenty of projection. He projects much more power than a normal middle infielder. The 49th ranked player in the 2021 class, Colon has an early commitment to Miami.

Treyton Rank  SS - 2021 - Dacula, GA
Rice

A Florida State commit, Rank is a primary pitcher who was up to 86 mph with an excellent delivery and solid curveball and has been up to 89 mph in the past. He played the whole spectrum of positions on defense and showed prospect tools at all of them.

Thaddeus Ector  OF - 2021 - Tyrone, GA
University of North Carolina-Charlotte/College of Central Florida

Ector is a big and strong 6-2/190 sophomore who showed athleticism and arm strength both in the infield and the outfield. He really stood out at the plate as a switch-hitter, with bat speed from both sides of the plate and more power potential from the left side.

Anthony Priester  C - 2021 - Denham Springs, LA
Louisiana State/Meridian CC

Priester is a projectable 6-1/170 sophomore with some of the best defensive skills and tools behind the plate that we saw in Fort Myers and is athletic enough to play plenty of other positions. He has a fluid right handed swing with lots of power potential as a right handed hitter.

Aidan Arbaugh  OF - 2021 - Ann Arbor, MI
Michigan State

Arbaugh is an extremely projectable 6-1/160 multi-tooled athlete from Michigan who is going to keep building on his already strong tool set as he gets stronger over the next few years. He ran a 6.94 sixty, showed nice outfield skills, including big range, and a strong left handed bat. The southpaw was also up to 84 off the mound.

James Tibbs III  OF - 2021 - Marietta, GA
Florida State

A Florida State commit, Tibbs is a very athletic 6-0/180 left handed hitter and thrower with polished defensive skills both in the outfield and at first base. He creates plus raw bat speed with a power approach at the plate.

Carson Russell  C - 2021 - Cumming, GA
Valdosta State/Lake Sumter CC

Russell showed very advanced catching and throwing tools and his 1.79 pop time in drills was a legit game action throw. At the plate he's a switch hitter with a more mature present approach from the right side but plenty of left handed bat speed as well.

Jorge De Goti  SS - 2021 - Miami, FL
Indiana

De Goti is a primary shortstop who actually graded out among the best outfielders at the showcase in drills. He's a right handed hitter with a very loose and fast swing that really projects. A 4.0 student, De Goti has a commitment to Florida.

Liam Moreno  3B - 2021 - Sun Prairie, WI
Missouri State/State College of Florida

Moreno showed an excellent approach at the plate with present bat speed and a short and strong swing. He pretty much squared up everything he saw and sent rocket line drives all over the field.

David Novak  C - 2021 - Zionsville, IN
Miami (OH)

Novak is a solid two-way prospect and was solid at both third base and behind the plate on defense. His right handed swing is confident and strong with lots of power potential. Novak was also up to 85 on the mound with a sharp 75 mph slider and filled up the strike zone.

Tyler Stone  SS - 2021 - Port St Lucie, FL

Stone is an angular and very projectable 6-3/175 middle infielder who showed some of the best infield actions at the event. He'll be very interesting to follow as he gets stronger and more physically mature.

Villegas has strong tools and skills on both sides of the ball. He was one of the top graded outfielders defensively at the showcase and showed a very consistent and smooth left handed swing with bat speed at the plate.

Jaylon Buckley  RHP - 2021 - Union, MS
Northwest Mississippi CC

Buckley has a stocky strong 5-8/190 build and a strong and fast right arm. He's a primary fastball pitcher who fills up the zone with a fastball that touched 91 mph. Improving his secondary pitches will be his next step forward.

Jacob Lauderdale  RHP - 2021 - Thomasville, GA
Coastal Carolina

Lauderdale has a projectable and athletic 6-0/170 build and a very clean and repeatable delivery. He topped out at 83 mph with plenty more velocity there as he gets stronger and used both a mid-70's curveball and change up interchangeably with his fastball while consistently working ahead in counts.

Daniel Brooks  RHP - 2021 - Mount Pleasant, SC
College of Charleston

Brooks is a 6-6/220 primary first baseman with good overall athleticism and the chance to hit for lots of right handed power. He graded out best on the mound, where he worked up to 84 mph with an easy delivery and showed good feel for his curveball.

Rene Lastres  C - 2021 - Hialeah Gardens, FL
Florida

Lastres has a lean and athletic 6-2/185 build that is going to fill out nicely and solid tools both offensively and defensively, including a very strong and accurate arm behind the plate.

Luis Mejia  OF - 2021 - Miami, FL
New Orleans

Mejia is a smaller 5-8/145 athlete but he has plenty of baseball tools. He threw 89 mph from the outfield with advanced footwork through release and had lots of right handed bat speed with very good barrel to ball skills.

Carter Wright  C - 2021 - Blairsville, GA
Auburn/Iowa Western CC

Wright has all the tools and skills to be a top flight defensive catcher in the future. His right handed swing has good strength in it and he controls the barrel well.

Matthew Rhodes  RHP - 2021 - Auburn, AL

Rhodes is a very projectable 6-4/175 right hander with a smooth delivery and a very advanced ability to throw strikes with his present 80-83 mph fastball. His 70 mph curveball was a solid pitch that should continue to develop as he uses it more.

Robbins has a slender 5-10/155 frame but a very loose and quick arm that produced an 85 mph fastball on the mound along with a 70 mph curveball and mid-70's change up.

Shepard has plenty of growing to do into his 5-9/138 frame but he already has lots of athleticism. He showed quickness and balance with bouncy actions on defense and some present bat speed with a line drive approach at the plate.

Turner is a quality two-way prospect with high ceiling potential on both sides of the ball and lots of physical projectability. He was up to 88 mph from the left side on the mound and has plenty of left handed bat speed.


2022 Top Prospects

Dylan Lesko  RHP - 2022 - Buford, GA
Vanderbilt

Lesko is currently ranked second nationally in the 2022 class and he showed why he might end up being both the best catcher and best pitcher in that class. The 6-3/170 freshman was up to 90 mph on mound and popped a eye opening 1.79 in drills with outstanding footwork and arm strength.

Yoel Tejeda Jr  OF - 2022 - Davie, FL
Florida

Tejeda has a long and very projectable 6-6/170 build that looks ideal for a young pitcher and he is a pitching prospect, with an 84 mph fastball and an easy and simple delivery. Tejeda's best tool, though, is his enormous power potential from a very easy and smooth left handed swing.

Jared Jones  C - 2022 - Marietta, GA
Louisiana State

The 6-4/225 Jones may out grow the catcher's position but he will always have a place to hit in the middle of the batting order. He is enormously strong for any age and the freshman has top of the scale power potential.

Jesus Pena  SS - 2022 - Miami, FL
Chipola College

Pena is extra strong for a freshman with a 6-1/195 build but is very mobile and balanced in all his infield defensive actions. His best tools, though, are in the right handed batter's box, where he has mature and polished hitting mechanics and outstanding raw bat speed.

Kain Collins  OF - 2022 - Kingston, TN
East Tenn State

Collins has all the makings of a future next level centerfielder. He ran a 6.71 sixty, which is excellent for a freshman, and showed his arm strength at 87 mph from the outfield. His left handed swing produces fluid bat speed already.

Jarrett Hutson  3B - 2022 - Prosper, TX
Uncommitted

Hutson has a loose and very projectable 6-2/180 build and plenty of athleticism. Although he is a primary pitcher, he graded out higher as a position prospect, especially with his fluid and loose swing that has lots of present bat speed and power potential.

Tag Williams  RHP - 2022 - Monticello, FL
Chipola College

Along with having a great baseball name, Williams has an outstanding athletic build for a freshman at 6-1/170 and plenty of promising tools as an outfielder and hitter. He also has a chance to be a two-way prospect, with an 84 mph fastball and a low effort delivery.

Charlie Jones  1B - 2022 - Cumming, GA
Air Force

Jones is much stronger than the average freshman, with a projectable 6-1/185 build, and that strength shows in his right handed bat speed and power potential.

Braeden Lock  RHP - 2022 - Highlands Ranch, CO

Lock has a strong 6-2/200 power pitcher's build and a simple well balanced set of mechanics. He was up to 82 mph with his fastball and that was made more effective by consistent cutting action. His 73 mph slider was a quality pitch that missed bats.

Southern California

Shimao came all the way to Fort Myers from Hawaii and showed his tools well on both sides of the ball. He's an athletic middle infielder with a strong and projectable arm and has some present gap to gap bat speed.

Almond is the prototypical projectable young pitcher with his loose and athletic 6-3/170 build and a present fastball that reached 81 mph plus the ability to spin the ball and throw strikes. He also showed lots of pull power for his age.

Alvarez is on the small size at 5-7/151 but he's a twitchy athlete with good present strength for his size. He showed pull side power at the plate from an aggressive swing and has very good footwork and fundamentals for a young catcher defensively.

Pasco-Hernando CC

Shultz has a very strong 5-11/190 build for a freshman and a nice and easy delivery that enables him to throw consistent strikes. He topped out at 84 mph and showed quality to both a 70 mph curveball with bite and a hard sinking mid-70's change up that has plus potential.

Dean Guzman  C - 2022 - Pembroke Pines, FL

Guzman has plenty of growing to do at 5-8/139 but he already has lots of quick twitch athleticism and baseball tools. He look especially solid at the plate, with an aggressive right handed swing and surprising mid field pop in his barrel.

Georgia State

Wise is a young and slender 5-11/145 freshman who stood out behind the plate for his athleticism, flexibility and footwork, all skills that will continue to improve with repetitions and additional strength.

Plasencia has some work to do with his delivery and secondary pitches but he has a prototype 6-4/195 build for a pitcher and a fast right arm that produced a fastball up to 86 mph.

Tanner Knowles  SS - 2022 - Elko, GA
Georgia

Knowles is a live bodied and slender freshman with a number of present tools. He ran a 6.95 sixty and surprisingly for a 5-9/135 athlete, created lots of right handed bat speed from a very sound fundamental hitting approach.

Everything Valle throws, whether it be in infield or on the mound, is from a low 3/4's to sidearm slot. On the mound, that is very effective in Valle's 80-83 mph velocity slot and his slider was big and very effective.

Smith has a very projectable 6-3/170 build and very good right handed bat speed with a power approach that puts the ball in the air consistently with good carry. He showed solid third base actions and arm strength defensively and was up to 83 mph on the mound.
