Michael Machin

Machin made the trip out from Miami and put together a successful weekend, especially with his righthanded bat. Physically built, Machin did an excellent job of handling the barrel and incorporating his physical strength to impact the ball to all parts of the yard. He also threw 82 mph from behind the plate.
Dax Ford
LHP - 2019 - Luling, LA
Louisiana-Lafayette
It's easy to see why Ford is committed to Louisiana as he offers intriguing two-way potential. On the mound he topped out at 86 mph from the left side, pumped the zone and landed his secondaries for strikes. Offensively he showed very quick hands at the plate along with the ability to impact the baseball.
Jared Plank
RHP - 2019 - Houston, TX
Uncommitted
Plank is a strong 6-5/205 uncommitted righthander who showed the best fastball on the weekend, running the pitch up to 90 mph early on. He throws from an over-the-top slot and generates plane to the pitch while showing fading life to his changeup in the upper-70s.
Devon Patel
RHP - 2019 - Spring, TX
Rutgers
Patel cruised during his time on the mound, attacking hitters with a fastball that topped out at 87 mph and featured some riding life through the zone. He showed off a quick arm stroke and filled up the strike zone while mixing in a 12-6 curveball with comfort for strikes.
Trey Harrison
1B - 2019 - Chandler, AZ
Abilene Christian
At 6-5/180 Harrison offers plenty of physical projection moving forward though he already shows plenty of things to like. Currently uncommitted, Harrison is a lefthanded stick who can impact the baseball and did so loudly in live action while showing athleticism around the first base bag as well.
Christian Collier
OF - 2019 - Ozark, AL
L. B. Wallace CC
Collier showed his tools throughout the weekend and appears to have some solid two-way potential at the next level. A primary outfielder, Collier had the hardest exit velocity of the weekend with a top mark of 101 mph and was also up to 85 mph on the mound with a hard and tight slider up to 78 mph which he landed for strikes.
Tony Robie
RHP - 2019 - Grand Prairie, TX
Texas State
Robie worked quick innings on the mound and over that span did an excellent job of maintaining his velocity, showing lots of 88s on the radar gun. The uncommitted 6-4/200 righthander attacked hitters with his heater and was able to generate plane while flashing a curveball up to 72 mph.
Ty Mongo
OF - 2019 - Lantana, TX
Hill College
Mongo is a quick-twitch outfielder who has shown big speed in the past during the 60-yard and utilizes that speed in the outfielder where he also threw 88 mph. With the stick Mongo shows solid bat speed through the zone and handled the barrel well in live action, still projecting offensively as he continues to make refinements.
Jack Stroud
LHP - 2019 - Amarillo, TX
Florida Atlantic
Stroud was impressive over his three innings of work, showing a clean left arm stroke while running his fastball up to 86 mph. On top of the velocity, the uncommitted arm was able to create solid angle to the pitch, he challenged hitters on the inner half, and showed comfort landing his curveball for strikes.
Elijah McCormack
RHP - 2019 - Coppell, TX
University of Central Florida
McCormack ran his fastball up to 87 mph during his time on the mound, showing solid cut action through the zone and carried his velocity throughout. He mixed nicely during his time on the mound, finding his feel for the curveball and was able to land the pitch for consistent strikes.
Kellum Clark
OF - 2020 - Brandon, MS
Mississippi State
Like in plenty of PG events, Mississippi State commit Kellum Clark brought his big lefthanded swing and impressed with his abilities in the box. Utilizing his strong frame, Clark remains balanced through his swing while impacting the ball with a low effort swing. He also showed solid glove skills at both first and third base with sound footwork.
Augustus Gray Harrison
RHP - 2020 - Austin, TX
McLennan CC
Gray Harrison was as impressive as any arm to take the mound at Texas A&M last weekend, not only for his current arsenal but for the future projection too. Currently uncommitted, the young righthander ran his fastball up to 88 mph with a quick and clean arm while landing a low-70s curveball for strikes throughout.
Gage Boehm
RHP - 2020 - Taylor, TX
Texas/San Jacinto CC
Similar to Clark above, Boehm has advanced physical strength for a high school junior yet remains athletic and balance with his actions around the first base bag. Offensively he stays short and compact with his swing and approach, connecting for some of the deeper drives off the barrel with sound present bat speed.
Hunter Cramer
SS - 2020 - Conroe, TX
Northwest Mississippi CC
Cramer is already committed to Arkansas and after his performance this weekend it’s easy to see why the coaching staff locked him up. He shows quick hands in the righthanded batter’s box while generating whip to the barrel and moved well defensively with balance and soft hands out front fielding the ball.
Samuel Benjamin
OF - 2020 - Katy, TX
University of Houston
A primary first baseman out of Texas, Benjamin showed off one of the cleaner swings from the left side during batting practice with balance and quickness to his hands, as well as extension out front. He barreled up a double in live action, projects well physically, and was up to 85 mph from the outfield.
Reid Taylor
RHP - 2020 - Woden, TX
Texas
Taylor utilizes his strong frame well on the mound, generating a fastball that he ran up to 88 mph with a loose arm and relatively low effort release. There’s more velocity in the tank as he continues to incorporate his lower half though he can already miss bats with some running life and mixed in an 11-5 shaped curveball.
Drake Varnado
SS - 2021 - Port Neches, TX
Arizona State
Varnado has attended multiple PG events and always shows his two-way potential, a trait on display once again at Texas A&M. He's a loose and athletic shortstop with clean actions and plenty of present bat speed, as well as a strong arm which produced a top fastball of 87 mph in this look.
Ryan Leary
SS - 2021 - Liberty Hill, TX
Texas State
Leary is a younger rising sophomore but that didn't stop his skill from standing out during the weekend. He moves well up-the-middle and shows soft hands, but it was his righthanded swing that stood out the most with lots of barreled contact and looseness, as well as an aggressive approach.
Cody Howard
RHP - 2021 - Spring, TX
Baylor
Though not overly physical at 5-11/165, Howard showed one of the quicker arms on the mound and the result was a fastball that topped out at 87 mph. He maintained the velocity well and ramped it up when he wanted while showing a steady feel for a short tilting slider in the mid-70s.
Travis White
C - 2021 - Mountain Home, TX
Blinn College
White showed nice potential on both sides of the ball, both during drills and the live portion of the event. A primary catcher, White stays compact with his actions and shows strength to his arm, as well as his bat, displaying quickness to his hands and a repeatable line drive stroke through the zone.
Heriberto Emmanuel Garza
C - 2021 - Rio Grande, TX
Rice
Emmanuel Garza showed well in all facets of his game, especially behind the plate where he received the ball well and posted a sub-2 pop time during drills with a strong arm. A switch-hitter, he showed a clean swing from the right side with jump off the barrel, generating loft at point of contact.
Alec Grossman
RHP - 2021 - Austin, TX
Texas
Grossman, a primary righthanded pitcher, showed his arm strength from all over the field, including the outfield where he posted one of the top throws of 90 mph. On the bump he showed three pitches for strikes, topping out at 86 mph with a pair of sound secondaries in his curveball and changeup.
Brady Patterson
C - 2021 - Auburn, KS
St. Louis
Another young backstop, Patterson showed clean and athletic actions behind the plate, staying balanced throughout while still projecting physically. He has some present strength and incorporates it well offensively, staying compact to the ball and showing jump off the barrel when getting extended.
John Rizzo
RHP - 2021 - The Woodlands, TX
Texas A&M
Rizzo showed off big arm strength throughout the weekend, first throwing 89 mph from the outfield before jumping onto the mound. On the mound the young uncommitted righthander was up to 86 mph, showing short running life while mixing in an 11-5 shaped curveball up to 74 mph.
Murphy Brooks
RHP - 2022 - Cypress, TX
TCU
Though he hasn't play a game yet of high school, Brooks has already made an impression on the national circuit. On the mound Brooks ran his fastball up to 87 mph early on, showing off a quick arm with solid extension down the mound and mixed in a pair of secondary pitches.
