Draft Coverage on Baseball Web TV
Crosschecker Staff
Published: Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Baseball Web TV (www.baseballwebtv.com) will be covering the draft from a unique perspective not available anywhere else on the Web.

The coverage will be provided by Perfect Game’s Allan Simpson and David Rawnsley and moderated by BBWTV’s Tom Koerick Jr.

Simpson and Rawnsley have over 50 years of experience with the draft between them. Simpson not only revolutionized the coverage of the baseball draft when the editor of Baseball America, he essentially invented it at a time when Major League Baseball ignored and even tried to hide the process from the public. Rawnsley has provided his draft expertise to MLB.com and ESPN over the past four years in addition to Perfect Game and PG Crosschecker.

Their analysis of the first day of the draft will be supplemented by video on many of the top prospects from the extensive Baseball Web TV files. Much of this video, plus other footage found on BBWTV, is the only video baseball fans will find of their favorite organization’s new players!

The second day of the draft will feature something completely new to the baseball community. Simpson and Rawnsley will break down each of the 30 team’s draft lists, again complete with video from the Baseball Web TV archives. No matter who is your favorite team, you’ll be able to get the best in-depth draft analysis on www.baseballwebtv.com.
