National High School Top 50: April 24

With state playoffs looming throughout parts of the country the top teams in the nation have mostly established themselves at this point of the season. The top three remain unchanged with Calvary Christian (Fla.), Argyle (Texas) and Blessed Trinity (Ga.). Faith Academy (Ala.) jumps to No. 4 and Zachary (La.) moves up to No. 5 while Lake Travis (Texas) falls to No. 11 following their second loss of the season.

The remainder of the top 10 is occupied by Riverdale Baptist (Md.), Parkview (Ga.), Reagan (Texas), Northwestern (S.C.) and Orange Lutheran (Calif.) as the Lancers re-claim the status of the top team in California following a Trinity League sweep during the past week. Vianney (Mo.) is the highest ranked team in the Midwest at No. 13 and Puyallup (Wash.) is the highest ranked team in the Pacific Northwest at No. 14.

The biggest riser of the week is Desert Oasis (Nev.) who climbs from No. 44 to No. 20 following their loud sweep of preseason top five team Bishop Gorman (Nev.). A couple other notable risers are McAllen (Texas), Flanagan (Fla.), Cleburne (Texas) and Mountain Vista (Colo.).

The new teams entering the Perfect Game High School Top 50 are led by Lake Norman (N.C.) at No. 37. PG National participant Justin Jarvis headlines the Wildcats as he has enjoyed a velocity uptick, which has led to some serious draft buzz. The rest of the new entrants are as follows: Neuqua Valley (Ill.) at No. 39, Arcadia (Calif.) at No. 41, Coppell (Texas) at No. 42 and West Jones (Miss.) at No. 45.
