4/21 Game Recaps

10U Super25 Florida Super Qualifier
April 21, 2018

8:00 AM- The first game in our Super 25 10u Florida Super Qualifier already has the potential to be the best game of the day. 5 Star National Warner Robins vs Gulf Coast Monarchs faced off in a close, hard fought battle. It was a pitchers duel between 5 Stars Connor Langdon and Monarchs Joseph Lawson as both sides were scoreless through 5 1/2 innings. Langdon ended up going 4.2 innings letting up 0 hits and striking out 10, while Lawson threw 5 innings giving up 1 hit and also striking out 10. However, Nicholas Raber and Alan Overmyer came in big when it was needed. Raber singled in the bottom of the 6th with one out which was then followed by a double by Overmyer to advance Raber to third. Raber then went onto score the game winning run on a wild pitch.

10:00 AM- The Gulf Coast Monarchs played in another close game, this time against the East Coast Knights. They ended in a tie with a final score of 3-3. Alan Overmyer led the Monarchs with two hits while Nicholas Raber and Dominic Arnold both got an RBI apiece. They through six total pitchers who combined for 11 strikeouts and only giving up 4 hits. The East Coast Knights were powered on the offensive side by Bode Handwork, Bryce Anderson, and Javier Ramos who combined for 4 hits and 3 RBI's. They also had a committee of pitchers who combined for 5 strikeouts and 4 hits.

12:00 PM- Team Miami gets a huge win against 5 Star National Warner Robins behind a great pitching performance from Jorge Gonzalez. He threw 5 innings, striking out 6, and only letting up 3 hits. On the offensive side, Juan "Jc" Velazco led the way with 2 hits and an RBI.

2:00 PM- Kangaroo Court gets help from its entire lineup as it scores 9 for a win over East Coast Knights. Dillon Knight and Mateu Dalmau led the team in hits with 2 while Ethan Futch put up a team high 2 RBI's. Braden Marshall and Richard Stegbauer both had great pitching performances combining for 6 strikeouts and only letting up 1 run on 2 hits.

4:00 PM-
In a big game between Team Miami and Kangaroo Court, Kangaroo Court came out on top 6-2. Rhys Brush and Richard Stegbauer both had a pair of hits while Danilo Soto led the team in RBI's with 2. Francis Garcia and Matthew Paez both had 1 hit and RBI apiece for Team Miami.
