Up to 83 mph on the mound and 82 mph from the outfield, Kang stayed short with his swing and creates noteworthy bat speed with hard jump off the barrel.

Mason Neville  OF - 2022 - Las Vegas, NV

Neville, who made the trip over from Nevada, showed very interesting tools throughout the weekend and is certainly a player to watch as he continues to add strength to his 6-foot-1 frame. With solid arm strength all over the diamond, including the mound where he was up to 82 mph, Neville also swung it well from the left side with a quick, leverage stroke and nice life off the barrel.

Jacob Galloway  C - 2022 - Camarillo, CA
Southern California

A young lefthanded hitting catcher, Galloway impressed throughout the event with his talent on both sides of the ball. Utilizing a simple approach at the plate, Galloway repeatedly found the barrel in live action with consistent contact and showed solid receiving and blocking skills behind the dish.

Mikey Romero  SS - 2022 - Menifee, CA
Louisiana State

Romero, a primary shortstop, put some of the more advanced defensive actions on display we saw this event with a quick internal clock, softness to his hands and enough arm to make the throw deep in the hole. He's also a lefthanded stick who projects nicely with physical strength and shows looseness to his hands and a feel for the barrel.

Karson Bowen  C - 2022 - Anaheim Hills, CA
TCU

One of the more physical prospects at the event, Bowen already knows how to incorporate that strength into his overall game. Bowen, a righthanded hitter, showed intriguing jump off the barrel in game action and popped a 1.91 during drills while displaying one of the top throwing arms (75 mph) from behind the plate.

Noah Rodriguez  SS - 2022 - La Habra, CA
UNLV

Taking reps both up-the-middle and behind the plate, Noah Rodriguez had himself a nice showing this weekend in Compton as he put his overall athleticism on display. He showed solid balance and smoothness to his actions defensively and swung it well from the right side with present bat speed and nice components to follow moving forward.

Ryan Ward  SS - 2022 - Coronado, CA
San Diego

A lefthanded hitter who offers plenty of physical projection, Ward put together a nice two day showing in Compton, both during drills and live action. While at third base he made the defensive play of the showcase with a fully extended diving snag on a line drive and also connected for a few of his own with an all fields approach and present bat speed.

Nick Arias  SS - 2022 - Tucson, AZ
Grand Canyon

Arais stood out throughout the event with his defensive acumen up the middle, showing present range and soft hands, as well as sound footwork. When he jumped on the mound Arias ran his fastball up to 80 mph with nice running life and shows looseness to his hands at the plate with a short swing path.

Louis Rodriguez  RHP - 2022 - Long Beach, CA
TCU

Though listed as a primary righthanded pitcher where he was up to 79 mph with a loose arm, Rodriguez also showed his talents as a two-way player. His righthanded swing offers plenty of present leverage and jump off the barrel while putting his athleticism on display defensively up the middle.

Dominic Hellman  SS - 2022 - Mill Creek, WA
Oregon

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Washington native has immense physical projection remaining on the frame, and is an impressive two-way prospect. With an easy trigger into the swing and plenty of bat speed and impact strength for the age, the power is easy to project upon. The arm strength recorded up to 79 mph with run and shows feel for his 11/5 curveball.

Ybarra had himself a good weekend and showed off impressive two-way ability while running his fastball up to 79 mph and swinging the bat well in-game. He laced a number of hard hit, extra-base hits during the game and showed off a quicker arm stroke with a good feel for spinning the ball as well.

2023 Top Prospects

Tyler Daley  1B - 2023 - Bradbury, CA
Uncommitted

Daley showed advanced mechanics and polish for a 2023 graduate, and ran his fastball up to 77 mph from the left side. The arm stroke is clean and easy through the back and Daley gets downhill to pound strikes to either side of the plate. The lefthander has good feel for repeating his delivery and will be one to watch as he continues to develop.

Luke Scherrer  C - 2023 - Yucaipa, CA
Cal Poly

The arm stroke and speed are both attractive elements to Scherrer's profile as the young righthander shows off plenty of projectable tools. He has a present feel for landing his curveball for strikes while also tossing in his fastball, up to 76 mph, with some arm side life and sinking action to the pitch.

Lina is yet another impressive two-way prospect for the class as he shows good tools in every facet of the game. The arm strength is very advanced, as he can make throws from deep in the hole and run his fastball up to 82 mph. The swing path is clean and simple with feel for impacting the ball hard out in front of the plate with bat speed through the point of extension.
