CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Perfect Game, baseball’s largest and most respected scouting report service, is offering excellent opportunities to any persons interested in pursuing a career in the ever-growing, billion-dollar baseball industry.

Anyone with a passion for the game can become involved with Perfect Game by scouting games at the most highly regarded amateur tournaments in the country during the summer and fall. PG organizes and conducts age-group tournaments from coast-to-coast.

These events involve thousands of teams and players from coast-to-coast, with most of the PG National Championship tournaments taking place on major league-caliber fields in Florida, Georgia and Arizona.

Individuals able to attain a scouting position with PG will learn how to use TrackMan Baseball, DiamondKast and other analytic tools that have become a big part of the scouting universe in recent years.

They will be instructed by full-time members of PG’s scouting department, many of whom started out in one of these entry-level jobs and moved up into prominent positions within Perfect Game’s management structure. Many others left PG to take positions within the scouting departments of major league clubs, including the Astros, Indians, Mariners, Red Sox and Rockies, among others.

“I love working in baseball, and for anyone who enjoys the game this is a gateway to be involved with it for the rest of your life; it’s a real-life experience that can lead to opportunities in baseball,” PG Director of Event Staffing/DiamondKast Andrew Jackson said.

“This gives you the opportunity to see all the top amateur players and to watch them grow, and then five years down the road they’re playing in the major leagues.”

There have been 1,070 alumni of PG tournaments and showcases that have made their debuts in Major League Baseball, a number that is sure to go up as early Opening Day on Thursday, March 29.

Former MLB Most Valuable Players Mike Trout, Josh Donaldson, Joey Votto, Buster Posey, Andrew McCutchen, Bryce Harper, Kris Bryant and Clayton Kershaw, and former Cy Young Award winners Zack Greinke, David Price, Corey Kluber, Rick Porcello and Kershaw are among PG alumni who PG scouts first had the opportunity to watch perform when the players were high school prospects.
