2022 Top Prospects

Rylan Galvan  C - 2022 - Sinton, TX
Texas

Galvan impressed in every facet of the game during the drills portion and performed even better in game. Behind the plate, Galvan showed loose and light actions on his feet as well as a strong arm with carry as well as a quick righthanded swing which helped impact the ball to all parts of the field.

John Michael Ramirez  RHP - 2022 - San Antonio, TX
Temple College

Ramirez did a little bit of everything on the mound, though his most impressive tool may just be his righthanded stick. He's strong and able to already impact the baseball with big jump off the barrel and backspin to his pull side, though he was also up to 82 mph on the mound and shows looseness to his defensive actions.

Rene Galvan  OF - 2022 - Sinton, TX
Tyler Junior College

A long and loose lefthander, Galvan projects very well physically but already shows interesting talent on both sides of the ball. With quick hands and a short stroke, Galvan generates nice extension out front with backspin off the barrel as well as solid defensive tools in the outfield with good energy in his actions.

Kyndon Lovell  LHP - 2022 - Fort Cobb, OK
McLennan CC

Lovell got his showcase off to a hot start, throwing an event best and highly impressive 90 mph from the outfield. He's listed as a primary pitcher and topped out at 82 mph, but shows big upside as a position player with a quick lefthanded stroke and a present feel for the barrel.

Jordan Medellin  SS - 2022 - League City, TX
Baylor

Medellin is an easy gliding shortstop who continues to evolve physically as he grows into his high waisted 5-11/135 frame. He shows fluidity to his actions up the middle with soft hands (and projectable skills behind the plate) which pairs nicely with his easy righthanded stroke and steady barrel skills.

Jake Hanson  RHP - 2022 - Timpson, TX
Uncommitted

One of the more physical players in attendance at 6-4/200, Hanson incorporated that strength well into all facets of his game. Hanson, a primary righthanded pitcher, tied for the event's best velocity at 84 mph with a compact arm stroke and steady plane to the bottom of the zone with nice running life.

Bauer Brittain  RHP - 2022 - Shawnee, OK
Oklahoma

Brittain jumped on the mound and quickly impressed with his right arm, running his fastball up to 84 mph while maintaining low-80s throughout his three innings. The heater offers steady sinking life and there's only going to be more velocity in the coming year as he continues to refine his mechanics and add physical strength.

Mason White  SS - 2022 - Tucson, AZ
Arizona

There's a lot to like while watching Mason White swing the bat and his lefthanded stroke is only going to continue to improve as he develops physically. His hands are plenty loose as he whips the barrel through the zone and showed carry off the bat to all parts of the field, including a deep 3B in game.

Travis Sanders  SS - 2022 - Copperas Cove, TX
Texas Tech

Sanders took his game a step further in live action, continuing to impress defensively just as he did in drills with smooth footwork in the dirt, soft hands, and a good arm across the diamond. He also showed a stroke, quick stroke and found the barrel well while projecting well moving forward.

Cade Climie  3B - 2022 - Sugar Land, TX
Texas A&M

Climie already stands at an impressive 6-0/165 (though he appears stronger) and put his talents on display throughout the weekend. He's listed as a primary shortstop and showed smooth actions and a strong arm -also up to 80 mph on the mound- on top of a short and quick stroke which helps impact the baseball.

Azais Garza  OF - 2022 - Conroe, TX
Uncommitted

Usually the last tool to develop in players at the 14U level is there speed but that certainly isn't the case for Garza as he posted an incredible 6.66 60-yard dash before utilizing that speed on the base paths where he wreaked havoc. He also impressed in the game with the bat, showing barrel skills while driving in a couple of runs.

Canon Chester  1B - 2022 - Sinton, TX
Tyler Junior College

Chester was one of the stronger players in attendance as he already stands 6-2/190 and impressed during his time in the batter's box, using his strength well while getting the barrel through the zone quickly with strength. He also showed his athleticism at first base as well as a clean arm action with solid carry on his throws.

Jake Burris  C - 2022 - Cibolo, TX
Mid-America Christian University

Listed at a strong 6-0/190, Burris is a primary backstop who shows solid present skills behind the dish. He stays compact with his actions and shows a quick transfer with repeatable actions along with a righthanded swing with which he incorporates his strength and generates carry to all fields.

Joseph Pendleton  C - 2022 - West, TX
Uncommitted

Though listed as a primary righthanded pitcher, it was with the bat where Pendleton showed nice skills and an easy stroke. He stays short with his swing path and can get extended out front while showing steady line drive contact off the barrel as well as jump coming off.

Julio Garcia  RHP - 2022 - Baytown, TX
University of Texas at Tyler

Julio Garcia did a little bit of everything throughout the showcase, including pound the zone on the mound with a fastball up to 78 mph and a very strong feel for his breaking ball. He then showed that his arm strength plays all around the diamond and handled the barrel well, squaring up a few balls with a linear stroke.

Matthew Houston  C - 2022 - Longview, TX
Navarro College

Houston connected for perhaps the most impressive hit of the entire showcase in the last game of the event, blasting the lone home run of the event over the left field fence for a high arching shot into the parking lot. He was also up to 76 mph on the mound and showed sinking life down in the zone.

2023 Top Prospects

Jaquae Stewart  1B - 2023 - Sinton, TX
Northwest Florida State College

Despite being one of the younger players in attendance, Stewart's lefthanded swing stood out during his round of batting practice and live looks despite his age. With loose hands and a squick path Stewart will only continue to improve though he already can impact the baseball with wood to all fields.

Blake Mitchell  C - 2023 - Sinton, TX
Louisiana State

Mitchell may not be as big as Stewart (above) in terms of physicality, but he handles the barrel very well and will only continue to develop moving forward with strength. He's a lefthanded hitting catcher who impressed with his confidence and overall feel at the plate, getting extended out front with nice contact off the barrel.
