VINELAND, N.J. – Stars Baseball 18u Red won the WWBA Northeast Qualifier on Monday defeating 9ers Baseball Club America by a score of 9-1.

Stars Baseball collected hits early and often in the contest, totaling 14 for the game. Kyle Novak, Matt Thomas, Zachary Agnos and Corey Rosier each had multiple hits for Stars Baseball in the game.

Thomas Russell, the MVP of the tournament, pitched a complete game seven-hitter for the Stars leading them to victory. Russell scattered those seven hits allowed over the seven innings, allowing only one run.

With the win Stars Baseball 18u Red has received a paid invitation to the 2017 WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Fla., to be played October 19-23.
