Sean Power began his showcase by running a 6.67 60-yard dash and he used that speed throughout the weekend in the outfield, making two excellent diving plays. His lefthanded swing also stood out with both quickness and leverage, a combo of attributes he used in connecting for a long HR in live action.
Julian Mungarro
C - 2018 - Torrance, CA
Cal State Dominguez Hills
Mungarro posted the top pop time of the event in drills at 1.89 but actually impressed more with the bat. He has an aggressive swing with good lower half use and showed his bat speed and power potential both in games and in batting practice, along with the ability to battle next level pitchers and make swing adjustments.
Josh Mollerus
RHP - 2018 - Campbell, CA
San Francisco
Mollerus threw three nice and clean innings, working in the 85-87 mph range with his fastball with a clean and repeatable arm action and the ability to spot his fastball. His change up is a present solid pitch that will get outs now and his slider flashed nice depth when he threw it hard at full arm speed. Mollerus also showed a nice swing and some power at the plate.
Gage Edwards
RHP - 2018 - Draper, UT

Edwards was one of the more physical players in attendance and the uncommitted righthander out of Utah made his presence felt on the mound. Up to 87 mph on the bump, Edwards offers a quick right arm with nice plane and depth to his curveball which progressed nicely over his three innings of work.
Benjamin Terry
OF - 2018 - Santa Monica, CA

Terry has a long and athletic 6-3/175 build that immediately gets one's attention and an easy running stride that produced a 6.82 sixty time. He showed an aggressive right handed pull oriented swing and the ball came off his bat well. Give Terry about 15 more pounds of strength and he could really shine.
Ethan Brodsky
RHP - 2018 - Mission Viejo, CA

Brodsky has a firm and strong build and an especially strong lower half that makes him look like a durable starting pitcher, especially considering his command of a solid three-pitch mix. He worked in the mid-80's with his fastball, with a nice sinking change up and a mid-70's slider and consistently worked ahead of hitters.
Braden Winget
1B - 2018 - Draper, UT
San Jacinto CC
Winget has impressed at prior Perfect Game events and did so again this weekend in California, in part to his strength in his righthanded swing. He does a nice job of hitting the ball out front while creating steady line drive contact and repeated his swing while also showing strength on his throws across the diamond.
Zach Zdimal
RHP - 2018 - Scottsdale, AZ

Zdimal has a solid athletic build and an equally solid three-pitch mix to get hitters out with. He topped out at 87 mph with his fastball and the more he mixed in his 73 mph change up and big sweeping 77 mph slider the more effective he was.
Jared Schatz
OF - 2018 - Agoura Hills, CA

Schatz fits the profile of a top of the order hitter well. He was one of the better runners of the event, posting a 6.72 sixty time, and really stood out with his bat in the games, lining hard hit balls in virtually every at-bat, including one drive off the right field fence to show surprising power for his slender, live bodied frame.
Jun Park

Park stands out for his physicality as he's listed at 5-foot-10, 185-pounds and he incorporated that strength well into his offensive approach showing strong hands and an overall easy swing. His mechanics are simple and he did a nice job of repeating them, generating hard contact in game and batting practice.
Mario Vargas
RHP - 2018 - San Bruno, CA

Vargas did a nice job of maintaining his velocity over his four innings of work and actually showed his best fastballs in the third inning, hitting a handful of 85s. He also showed a nice feel for his hard, tight slider up to 78 mph with which he threw strikes and flashed depth to his curveball in the low-70s.
Caiden Matheny
OF - 2019 - Murrieta, CA
University of Central Florida
Matheny impressed with his overall tool set, showing notable bat speed and arm strength, as well as running speed as evidenced by his 6.60 60-yard dash. His arm strength played well both in the outfield and infield and his righthanded swing certainly stands out with home run type power and plenty of quickness and strength throughout.
Tyresse Turner
SS - 2019 - La Palma, CA
Oregon
Turner is a young switch-hitting shortstop who's lefthanded swing really stood out thanks to quick hands and an easy path, something he showed in game with a triple which allowed his speed to play on the bases (6.82 60-yard dash). He showed soft hands up the middle along with quick feet while throwing 86 mph across the diamond.
Shun Morita
1B - Free Agents - Osaka, OS JPN
Morita left an impression on everyone in the ballpark for two days with his infectious enthusiasm for the game and his loud cheer leading for his teammates, Japanese and American alike. It didn't help that his first game swing produced a long home run over the left centerfield fence, his first of many strong contacts.
Masahiro Ito
RHP - Free Agents - Ichinomiya, AI JPN
Ito was the enthusiasm equivalent of teammate Shun Morito on the mound, with a very high energy and vocal approach to the game. Like Morita, he also shined in his tools, working in the mid-80's with a very good nose to toes curveball that buckled the knees of many hitters.
Ryuga Hatashima

Hatashima is listed as a primary pitcher but he is clearly a second baseman. Along with having a short and effective contact swing, he played second base like a big leaguer, taking outstanding routes to ground balls and showing plus range and a very quick release up the middle.
