2019 Top Prospects

Erik McKnight  RHP - 2019 - Littleton, CO
University of Arkansas-Little Rock

The Colorado product showed good two way potential topping at 86 miles per hour with a sharp 10/5 curve while on the mound and a smooth, fluid swing path at the plate. McKnight swung with intent while at the plate and maintained balance with fluidity through extension.

South Dakota State

Ries showed very quick, athletic actions while working behind the plate. The Cedar Rapids product generated very good bat speed at contact that created very good carry to the pull side gap, homered multiple times in batting practice.

William Roguske  RHP - 2019 - Belgrade, MN

The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder utilized lower half very well while working to the plate and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped on hitter well producing heavy downhill angle with slight run to arm side, topped at 86 miles per hour.

Brady Slavens  SS - 2019 - Olathe, KS

The left handed hitting shortstop showed a very balanced, repeatable swing plane with present bat speed and strength. Consistently threw the bat head through the baseball generating hard, loud contact to the middle of the field.

Jake Schope  RHP - 2019 - Littleton, CO
Colorado School of Mines

Featured a simple, repeatable delivery with a loose three-quarters arm slot while on the mound. Schope topped at 85 miles per hour generating sinking run to arm side. The Colorado native was impressive at the plate as well showing a direct path to contact with present bat speed and strength at contact.

Sam Goodman  RHP - 2019 - Dubuque, IA
Iowa

Fastball jumped out of Goodman's hand sitting in the mid 80's, topped at 85 miles per hour. The 2019 grad consistently worked ahead of hitters early in counts and utilized a sharp 9/4 slider as a put away pitch late.

Cameron Crain  LHP - 2019 - Lees Summit, MO
Johnson County CC

The 6-foot-3, Lees Summit native utilized a high energy three-quarters arm slot that produced a running fastball in the low to mid 80's, topped at 85 miles per hour. Flashed very good arm speed with a changeup offering that induced weak contact when located down in the zone.

Richard Atkins  LHP - 2019 - Marion, IA
South Dakota State

The 2019 grad showed smooth, repeatable mechanics and generated good downward plane with a fastball that topped at 84 miles per hour. Atkins flashed good feel for the outer edge of the plate with the ability to back door curveball for looking strikes to right handed batters.

Borrman, a primary third baseman showed quality arm strength across the infield topping at 87 miles per hour. At the plate, the Minnesota native flashed good lift at contact with solid feel for the barrel. Borrman also showed two way potential on the mound topping at 84 miles per hour.

Frazier showed very fluid, athletic actions in the infield with solid arm strength topping at 84 miles per hour. Offensively, the Cedar Rapids native consistently manipulate the bat head and worked to all fields with ease.

The 2019 outfielder utilized a loose, extended swing plane that generated natural lift at contact. Ball jumped off the barrel well with carry to the gaps when turning the barrel with authority.

The Omaha, NE native showed a smooth, naturally lifted swing plane that generated solid bat speed through the zone. Legleiter consistently repeated swing path and generated hard contact to the middle of the field throughout batting practice.

Meador utilized very balanced, fluid actions while at the plate with a clean line drive barrel plane. Consistently worked to all fields but flashed the present bat speed to turn barrel head and work to pull side with authority.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Wisconsin native produced loud, hard contact throughout the weekend employing a slightly lifted swing plane with strength at contact. When squared, the primary first baseball showed the raw power to drive the ball through the gaps with ease.

Switcher hitter with good feel for the barrel and present bat side from both sides of the plate. Starts utilized lower half well while shifting into contact and produced sharp line drive contact between the gaps.

The 2020 grad continues to improve each time we see him. Flashed the ability to control the barrel throughout he zone with the present strength to drive the baseball through the gaps on a naturally lifted swing plane.

Fricker utilized a smooth, easy delivery that produced a heavy fastball that jumped on hitter in the low to mid 80's, topped at 85 miles per hour. Changed speeds with a curveball that flashed tight spin with late depth in the low 70's.

The Cedar Rapids native showed smooth, clean actions defensively while topping at 85 miles per hour from the outfield. At the plate, Sarsfield created good lift through extension while attacking the baseball with aggression.

Chase Becker  3B - 2021 - Coralville, IA
Minnesota

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound right handed pitcher showed smooth, repeatable mechanics and generated good angle to the plate with a fastball that topped at 82 miles per hour. Changed speeds effectively and showed good feel for breaking ball. Becker also impressed while at the plate utilizing a clean, leveraged swing plane that created good carry to the opposite field gap.
