Carlos Rodriguez

Rodriguez, a University of Miami commit, entered the event as the No. 3 ranked prospect in the class of 2021 and continued to show why over his three innings of work. In his time on the mound Rodriguez managed to strike out seven thanks in part to his quick right arm which produced a top fastball velocity of 89 mph along with a late breaking curveball to the bottom of the zone.
Mario Zabala

Zabala was one of the most physical players in attendance and quickly passed the eye test thanks to his strongly built 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame which helped him turn in the quickest 60-yard time at 6.50 and also tied for top outfield velocity at 90 mph. The strength continued into his righthanded swing where he showed very quick hands and solid carry off the barrel to all parts of the field.
Nicholas Regalado
RHP - 2020 - Miami Lakes, FL
Miami
A primary righthanded pitcher who's already committed to the University of Miami, Regalado impressed during his stint on the mound as he ran his fastball up to 89 mph while showing a quick right arm. He displayed a consistent feel for his curveball too, keeping hitters off balance and for good measure showed some of the biggest power during his session of batting practice.
Steven Ondina
SS - 2020 - Gurabo, PR
Florida International
Ondina is another talented prospect from Puerto Rico who showed well in all facets of his game throughout the weekend. A quick-twitch shortstop, Ondina impressed with his defensive actions up the middle and big arm strength across the diamond (86 mph) as well as with his righthanded stroke which produced plenty of loud, barreled contact throughout the weekend.
Logan Wood
LHP - 2020 - Macomb, MI
Michigan
An uncommitted lefthanded pitcher from Michigan, Wood projects as well as any arm in attendance with his 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame though he already possesses some of the best feel on the mound among those in attendance. Up to 83 mph with his fastball, Wood moved his fastball to either side with confidence and landed both his curveball and changeup for strikes regularly over 3 innings of work.
Luke Chenault
1B - 2020 - Lake Hopatcong, NJ
Penn State
Physically built at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, Chenault is able to incorporate his strength into his lefthanded swing with plenty of looseness and extension out front while impacting the baseball to all parts of the field. Short to the ball with his swing, Chenault also an easy arm at first base with accuracy to his throws.
Tervell Johnson
OF - 2020 - Atlanta, GA
Georgia Tech
Johnson did a little bit of everything defensively during the drills portion of the showcase but what consistently stood out was his loud righthanded bat. Strongly built at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Johnson stayed direct to the ball with plenty of strength to his hands and whip to the barrel through the zone, creating loud contact to his pull side.
Nathaniel Price
C - 2020 - Fort Worth, TX

Price, a primary catcher, has a nice showing in Fort Myers and performed particularly well behind the plate both during drills and in game. After popping an event best 1.95 and throwing 75 mph down to second base (2nd best), Price then showed his blocking skills in game along with quickness to his actions and strength to his righthanded swing.
Jay Beshears
SS - 2020 - Naples, FL
Duke
Beashears began his showcase by showing a clean arm action up the middle, listed primary shortstop, and continued to show such on the mound by topping 81 mph. It's his righthanded swing that may be his loudest tool however as he stays short and simple to the ball and managed to get the barrel to it more often than not with carry and backspin coming off.
Jordan Lawlar
SS - 2021 - Irving, TX
Vanderbilt
A middle infielder from the state of Texas, Lawlar brought an easy tool package with him and it was one that impressed in many facets. A 6.78 runner, Lawlar showed a clean swing from the right side of the plate and regularly found the barrel, both in live action and batting practice, on top of his balance defensive actions.
Dorian Gonzalez
SS - 2021 - Miami, FL
Miami
Gonzalez showed one of the sweeter swings of the event and did so from the left side both in batting practice and in game. With a natural feel for the barrel Gonzalez picked up a few extra base hits the middle and pull parts of the field thanks to a balanced stroke and easy hands in his swing.
Isaac Rodriguez
SS - 2021 - Wildomar, CA
Uncommitted
A primary shortstop who made the trip out from California, Rodriguez showed some serious defensive ability up the middle with plenty of range and quickness to his footwork as well as some of the softer hands in attendance. Those hands also helped him pop a 1.95 with a quick transfer and release and showed quickness to them at the plate with some barrel whip through the zone.
Noah Smith
SS - 2021 - Chicago, IL
Louisville
There's a lot to like when it comes to the young shortstop out of Chicago, whether it's his current tool set or his long term projectability. A 6.84 runner, Smith shows smoothness up the middle and solid carry to his throws across while showing quick hands to his righthanded swing with present bat speed and carry off the barrel.
Aidan Berger
C - 2021 - Palo Alto, CA
UCLA
Another young Californian who made it to the East Coast, Berger showed well on both sides of the ball throughout the showcase. Berger, a middle infielder, showed quickness and overall looseness to his defensive actions with soft hands, all traits that play well offensively too from the left side of the plate with an easy swing and consistent feel for the barrel.
Gavin Kash
1B - 2021 - Sour Lake, TX
Texas Tech
At 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, Kash was one of the more impressive players in regards to the eye test and his skill is right there too. A lefthanded hitter, Kash showed a shorter path to the ball but did a nice job of creating leverage and power the baseball to his pull side with loud carry off the barrel. He also showed his arm strength on the mound, running his fastball up to 82 mph.
Kyle Tako
OF - 2021 - Hollywood, FL
Clemson
Tako, a Florida International commit, has made nice jumps since his last Perfect Game showcase as he's now running a 6.97 60-yard dash and threw 86 mph from the outfield, 3rd best in the showcase. The strength in his righthanded swing showed in game with a 2B and 3B as he's able to generate nice bat speed and leverage out front.
Reese Smith
SS - 2021 - Denham Springs, LA
Holmes CC
Smith put together a solid all around showcase, performing well both defensively as well as with the bat, both in batting practice and in game. He had multi-hit performances in both games thanks to a simple, repeatable swing which allows for plenty of barreled contact and showed well in the infield with quick feet and balanced actions.
Alex Ulloa
SS - 2021 - Cutler Bay, FL
Florida/Yavapai College
Ulloa had a strong showing this weekend in Fort Myers, from his defensive play at shortstop where he displayed clean actions and quick footwork along with a strong arm (87 mph) to jumping on the mound where he bumped 83 mph. His bat was just as impressive, showing loose hands with present bat speed and a handle for the barrel.
Ryan Spikes
SS - 2021 - Lilburn, GA
Tennessee
Though not a primary pitcher, Spikes jumped on the mound and impressed with what he was able to produce currently and what he could develop into long term. With a long and loose arm action, Spikes was able to generate easy velocity on his fastball, bumping 85 mph while working down in the zone and mixing a 12-6 shaped curveball.
Michael Braswell
SS - 2021 - Mableton, GA
Louisiana State
Braswell is a long and projectable shortstop/righthanded pitcher out of Georgia who put his tools on display from both sides of the ball. He showed his athleticism up the middle with balanced actions and at the plate displayed quickness to his hands with a short, line drive approach and sound contact off the barrel.
Keegan Allen
RHP - 2021 - Rogers, AR
West Virginia
Allen, who ran a 7.05 60-yard, showed his speed and footwork in the outfield as he attacked the ball with quick-twitch actions and displayed notable arm strength (85 mph) before taking the mound and touching 82 mph. His righthanded swing might be his biggest tool though as he stayed balanced throughout and did a nice job of repeating his mechanics and working the middle of the field.
Payton Allen
SS - 2021 - Rogers, AR
University of Houston
A primary shortstop, Allen put his two-way potential on display by running a 6.95 and showing solid carry across the diamond before running his fastball up to 84 mph on the mound where he was able to create sinking life with a hard breaking ball. He also showed the ability to generate leverage with his swing and found the barrel well with backspin contact to pull side.
Ethan Alston
SS - 2021 - Hammond, LA
Tulane
Alston showed a nice tool set down in Fort Myers and it began with the Louisiana native running a 6.78 60-yard dash, one of the better times for the event. Listed at 5-foot-9, 158-pounds, Alston showed loose and quick hands to his righthanded swing, getting the barrel through the zone well while hitting the ball out front and creating consistent line drive contact to the middle of the field.
Nick Anello
RHP - 2021 - Plantation, FL
Florida Southwestern State College
Anello is listed as a primary second baseman where his righthanded swing will be a valuable asset as he did a nice job of staying short to the ball with an easy swing and steady line drive contact to the middle and pull parts of the field. He also jumped on the mound and was up to 81 mph with his fastball and showed a nice feel for his breaker.
Christopher Bernal
C - 2021 - McAllen, TX
Texas State
Bernal is already committed to the University of Pittsburg and the young Texas native showed why he's already locked in with a college club. A primary catcher, Bernal showed a linear righthanded stroke and a feel for the barrel with strength coming off and also popped a 1.95 from behind the plate showing a quick transfer and release.
Jaxson Davis
OF - 2021 - Winchester, KY
Louisville
Listed as a primary outfielder where he threw 85 mph with his top throw and ran a 7.00 60-yard dash, Davis also impressed on the mound. In his two innings of work the Kentucky commit struck out five and touched 84 mph with his fastball with nice extension while mixing both a curveball and changeup for strikes.
Hunter Elliott
LHP - 2021 - Tupelo, MS

Elliott shows interesting potential on the mound, both as a hard hitting first baseman and on the mound, where he topped out at 81 mph from a higher slot while showing balance to his delivery. From the left side of the plate Elliott did a nice job of getting the barrel out front, generating loft to his pull side with interesting carry off the bat.
Bennett Hanks
OF - 2021 - Katy, TX
Tyler Junior College
Hanks, a 6-foot-2 righthander out of Texas, showed one of the better fastballs of the event, topping out at 84 mph with nice life to his fastball and command of the zone. Along with his heater Hanks also showed nice command of a 12-6 shaped curveball and flashed some strength in his righthanded swing at the plate.
Reece Holbrook
OF - 2021 - Mount Pleasant, SC
North Carolina
A lean and projectable outfielder from the state of South Carolina, Holbrook's biggest tool is his speed and it's one he put on display both in the 60-yard (ran a 6.88) and on the bases in live action where he swiped some bags. He's a lefthanded hitter who shows quick hands and stayed short to the ball while working the middle and pull side parts of the field.
Logan Landers
RHP - 2021 - Cedarburg, WI

A long and projectable first baseman out of Wisconsin, Landers is listed at 6-foot-6, 195-pounds and he did a nice job of utilizing his long levers to create extension in his righthanded swing. He did a nice job of staying short to the ball while creating some whip through the zone and interesting carry to all parts of the field.
Karson Ligon

Ligon put his arm strength on display from all over the field, first throwing 85 mph where he showed a quick transfer and release before getting on the mound, his primary position where he topped out at 82 mph. He as able to work both sides of the plate with his fastball and mixed in his curveball to keep hitters honest and off balance.
Bryan Loriga
3B - 2021 - Hialeah, FL
Florida International
Loriga showed sound defensive tools for third base, his primary position, as he showed clean actions out front with his hands and solid arm strength and carry across the diamond. He does a nice job of using his physical strength offensively as well, showing quick hands with leverage out front and present jump off the barrel.
Jacob Anthony Mata
3B - 2021 - Waxahachie, TX
Navarro College
A primary third baseman, Mata showed the defensive actions for the hot corner with nice body control and an easy release on throws across the diamond. It's his righthanded swing that truly stood out though with quick hands and present bat speed through the zone, creating loft on his contact to the pull side when squared up.
Braden Montgomery
OF - 2021 - Madison, MS
Stanford
Montgomery is a lean and loose 5-foot-8 outfielder who's listed as a switch-hitter and showed a handle for the barrel from both sides of the plate. Up to 81 mph from the outfield, Montgomery displayed quick hands with a repeatable swing, traits he showed in game as well as he was able to spin on the inner half pitch.
Satchell Norman
C - 2021 - Sarasota, FL
Florida Southwestern State College
Strongly built with broad shoulders at 5-foot-9, 165-pounds, Norman began his showcase by popping a 1.98 while showing a quick transfer and strong arm, something he then put on display with his 83 mph fastball. He shows looseness to his hands at the plate and stays short to the ball, showing intent in his swing with carry to the pull side.
Diego Prieto
C - 2021 - Doral, FL
Fordham
A young backstop out of Florida, Prieto continued to show his catch and throw skills behind the plate, popping a 1.95 with accuracy to his throws down to second base. He's a righthanded hitter and did a nice job of staying short to the ball with quickness to his barrel and still projects with additional strength gains.
Josh Pyne
SS - 2021 - Bloomfield, IN
Indiana
Pyne took a nice round of batting practice from the right side of the plate showing a loose and quick stroke through the zone with nice contact off the barrel. He impressed just as much with his defense up the middle by staying low through his actions, completing his transfers quickly, and shows both accuracy and carry across the diamond.
Derek (DJ) Radtke
RHP - 2021 - Marietta, GA
Georgia
A primary righthanded pitcher, Radtke showed interesting potential with the bat this weekend, as well as on the bump where he calls home. He was up to 81 mph with his fastball with plane down in the zone and a sharp curveball, but also showed a balanced and repeatable righthanded swing with leverage out front and carry to his pull side.
Chase Roberts
2B - 2021 - Chattanooga, TN
Cleveland State CC
Roberts, a Tennessee native, did a nice job of showing his tools off throughout the weekend, including his arm strength from two positions and on the mound where he topped out at 82 mph. His right-handed bat was a consistent tool as well, showing quick hands and present bat speed which coupled nicely with his feel for the barrel as he showed in his 3-3 performance in one game.
Eli Runyan
LHP - 2021 - Bowdon, GA
Mercer
Up to 81 mph with his fastball in this look, the young lefthanded Runyan did a nice job of commanding the pitch through the zone and showed comfort challenging hitters on the inner half of the plate. With nice life to his fastball, Runyan also mixed in a sharp 1-7 shaped curveball with late break and consistent command.
Aries Samek
SS - 2021 - Teaneck, NJ
Florida Southwestern State College
Samek showed interesting tools which will have to be followed moving forward, though his defensive actions already stand out with a strong showing in Fort Myers. A 7.13 runner, Samek threw 85 mph across the diamond with a lean and full arm stroke with soft hands and flashed carry off the barrel from the right side of the plate.
Dominic Scavone
3B - 2021 - Orlando, FL
Stetson
A young primary shortstop out of Orlando, Scavone showed off his two-way potential with athletic actions up the middle, soft hands out front and accuracy across the diamond. He was also up to 83 mph on the mound with late life to his fastball while showing an easy righthanded swing with leverage out front and plenty of projectability.
Nathan Smith
C - 2021 - Buford, GA
Georgia Tech
A primary catcher who popped a 2.00 during drills, Smith showed those catch and throw skills in game to nail a would be theft. He's strongly built and incorporates that well into his righthanded swing, creating consistent and hard contact with steady line drives to all parts of the field, both in batting practice and against live pitching.
Max Soliz
C - 2021 - Auburn, AL
Chattahoochee Valley CC
Soliz, a 6-foot-1 catcher out of Texas, made his loudest impression with his righthanded bat and did so in live action. A righthanded hitter, Soliz did a nice job of staying short to the baseball while finding the barrel and did so in a loud manor with quick hands and strength off the barrel to his pull side.
Chase Valentine

Valentine had a nice showing both defensively up the middle and with his righthanded stroke. Listed at 5-foot-6, 155-pounds, Valentine showed clean defensive actions and soft hands along with the ability to throw accurately from multiple arm slots before digging into the righthanded batter's box where he handled the barrel with consistent line drive and contact to all parts of the field.
Drake Varnado
SS - 2021 - Port Neches, TX
Arizona State
Varnardo is a long and athletic 6-foot-2, 155-pound shortstop who showed well on both sides of the ball and also on the mound where he topped out at 81 mph. Up the middle he showed sound actions and a strong arm (84 mph across) as well as a quick and loose righthanded swing and speed that played well on the bases in live action.
Preston Wright
OF - 2021 - Mascoutah, IL
Walters State CC
The biggest tool in Wright's arsenal is his lefthanded bat and it's one that he put on display regularly, both in batting practice and live action. He loads up and uncoils into contact looking to impact the baseball, something he did well with torque and an easy swing while showing carry to his pull side.

Johnson showed nice defensive actions through the showcase with soft hands and glove skills that played both to his backhand and forehand along with range and a quick transfer prior to accurate throws. He's also a lefthanded hitter with looseness to his hands and a direct swing path, allowing him to handle the barrel consistently.
Triston Horst

Horst began his showcase by running an impressive 6.78 60-yard dash, showing his athleticism before taking a solid and consistent round of batting practice. At 5-foot-9, 160-pounds the Pennsylvania native put his compact righthanded swing on display with strength off the barrel and simple set of mechanics which he did a nice job of repeating.
Armando Cruz
SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM
Cruz is just 13.6 years old, making him one of the youngest in attendance, but that didn't stop him from shining up the middle with some of the more advanced defensive actions you'll find anywhere at this age. His hands are incredibly soft and he has notable arm strength as well as tools at the plate which will continue to develop as he fills out physically.
Luis Ravelo
SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM
Another young prospect from the Dominican Republic, Ravelo truly impressed with his defense skills and how well his hands worked up the middle. His transfer and release are very quick for a player his age, as is his footwork while remaining accurate across. Offensively he worked the middle of the field approach with a line drive swing plane and an aggressive approach.
Erick Pena
OF - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM
Florida International
In an event full of projectable prospects, Pena certainly ranks towards the top with with broad shouldered 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame. His tools are just as impressive as his build, evidenced by his 6.83 60-yard time, showcase best 90 mph throw from the outfield, and smooth lefthanded swing which offers plenty of leverage and strength at the point of contact.
Jose Salas
SS - Free Agents - Caracas, DF VEN
A young shortstop from Venezuela, Salas immediately impressed in the drills portion of the showcase with his defensive play up the middle, showing bounce to actions and quickness throughout. He's also a switch-hitter who showed a handle for the barrel from both sides and projects very well with added physical strength.
