Gray is perhaps the best defensive outfielder in the 2018 class, with plus instincts on his jumps and routes and tremendous range in center field. His throwing arm is also a plus tool and he's very accurate with his throws. A righthanded hitter, Gray has a stance that resembles former Cincinnati Reds All-Star Eric Davis, which emphasizes his very quick hands. When he's timed up, Gray has as much raw pull power as any player in the class.
