Jones is one of the top two-way prospects in the country playing for La Mirada High School, although his future is clearly on the mound due to his 93-97 mph fastball and biting curveball. Jones went 7-1, 0.77 on the mound as a junior, with 94 strikeouts in 64 innings, but also hit .457 with 22 stolen bases and 42 runs scored as a speedy center fielder. He opened eyes at the PG National Showcase by throwing an even 100 mph from the outfield.
