Alexander wowed everyone at the Perfect Game National Showcase in mid-June when he threw 99 mph across the infield in drills. While his arm strength is obviously an easy plus tool, Alexander has plenty of other impressive tools as well. He's a mobile and athletic middle infielder with range to both sides and balance charging the ball and should stay at shortstop for a long time. A righthanded hitter, Alexander has a short and quick swing and can turn on balls with surprising power for his size.
