Hurt is a highly athletic righthanded pitcher with immense projection in his 6-foot-4 frame with an incredibly live arm. Hurt’s fastball has worked up to 95 mph and sits routinely in the low-90s, exploding out of his hand. His best secondary offering comes in the form of his changeup which shows good late tumble out of the zone. The curveball will continue to develop for Hurt, but when he works on top of the pitch it shows as a potential weapon. With his grasp for the changeup, Hurt has shown advanced overall feel for his age.
